This is the coolest thing i have ever seen on reddit. how do you hold it tho? doesn’t seem like there’s a good spot for your left hand to support it while firing unless it’s on a tripod. I might be playing too many video games but it would be so cool to have the handle and trigger on top so you would hold it kinda like a chainsaw. (im imagining heavy’s minigun from TF2)

What's the targeted rate of fire for this monster?
Because somehow I sense that even the Beta C-Mag isn't going to give much time on trigger lmao

i'm all about it.
i've seen like one episode of Forgotten Weapons about MGs w rotating barrels and all i can remember is the mechanism that times the release of the firing pin so it only releases when the bore is in alignment w the cartridge.
maybe i missed it but is that something you've done? is it a non-issue? that's a curiosity of mine every time i see her 🫶.

It’s a non issue with this design as each barrel has its own bolt, so there’s nothing to align.

Ok, final mockup. I ended up changing from a bullpup design just because I wasn’t gonna be able to fit all the electronics and such with it being a bullpup. So this is the final layout.
The only aesthetic thing missing from the mockup is the front vertical grip and the picatinny rail on top of the carry handle.
Both grips will have a trigger. The front trigger will spin up the barrels, and the rear trigger will actually fire the gun. I really wanted to just have one trigger, but the barrels take to long to spin up and I’d be worried you’d waste 3-4 rounds running through it before the barrels are up to speed. Regardless, this is how the m134 works with two triggers, so c’est la vie.
It is, and will be heavy. It offers almost no advantages over a standard ar15, but barrels go spinny.
