Positivity What's been giving you gender euphoria, joy, or a little extra spark this week? | Weekly Positivity Thread

There's something uniquely powerful about the moments when we feel seen, affirmed, or simply at home in ourselves. Maybe it was something small, a stranger using the right pronouns without hesitation, catching your reflection and smiling, or finally trying that hairstyle you've been nervous about. Maybe it was something big, a milestone in your transition, a conversation that made you feel understood, or a quiet moment where everything just clicked.

This is our space to collect those moments. Share your euphoria, your happiness, your quiet victories and loud celebrations. Whether it's gender-related or just something that made your week better, we want to hear it.

As always, please keep our community rules in mind and remember that this is a space for celebration, not comparison. Your joy doesn't diminish anyone else's, and every victory, no matter how small it might feel, deserves to be witnessed.

So, what's been making your heart feel a little lighter this week?

Question i dont know how to be feminine

so i (14 mtf) came out like a year ago, and have changed my name and pronouns, which is all fine, but im just not very feminine. i like wearing baggy jeans and hoodies, and have a low voice (obviously). my hair is also so screwed up and in this awful bob, and its taking ages to grow out and its really difficult to manage, alongside having no skincare routine, being covered in acne, and having a very masculine face. i feel really insecure about this, as i often come across as a guy, but i also want to be myself, and dress how i like. i have little experience in terms of being transgender, and know no other people in the lgbtq+ community. has anyone had similar experiences/does anyone have any advice? thanks in advance xxxx

Question School Bathrooms

I'm hoping to transfer schools next year, and I don't know what bathroom I'm going to use. I pass as stealth to strangers, but my state has anti-trans laws and if someone figures out I'm going to the mens room, it's not going be good(my parents don't even know I'm trans so that won't be a fun experience). Then again, I don't want anyone in my new school knowing I'm trans, so going to the girl's restroom will also hurt me.

Advice given Don't hide from yourself

(I'm probably not far enough along my journey to be giving advice, but here's some anyways)

I used to say, "I wouldn't mind being a girl," but I really wanted to say and what i wanted to say in the back of my mind was, "I would prefer to be a girl." i just didn't want to be trans back then. And now that I've experienced things that prove that I am trans. I'm accepting myself for who I am. Don't hide your true self. Let it all out. Don't let anyone tell you who you can or can not be because remember you're always valid no matter who you are and who you love. But go at your pace. Don't feel like you need to rush anything.

Vent my binder is physically hurting me and i cant seem to take it off

ive had 2 binders the whole time i have been trans, i only got my first one 2 years ago in 2024 after being trans since 2021. a week after getting it, i just gave up on trying to be ‘safe’. i wear it all day, i sleep in it, i exercise in it, i only take it off to shower, thats at most 2 hours a day and usually not every day.

i recently switched to a new binder since my old one was very stretched out. i tried stretching it with stuff in my closet but it didnt do much. it was pretty tight the first week, but not painful or unbearable.

in the past few days, i think its been digging into my skin. its not bleeding, but there are red marks on my sides that really hurt and one has a bruise on it. they hurt when theyre touched, the binder is not helping it. for some reason, i just cant take this thing off. bot during the day since i have nothing else, not at night because i feel uncomfortable. i dont have enough tape right now, only enough for one side, i always mess it up too.

i dont know what to do. i think im gonna fuck up my chest but i genuinely dont care. please dont give me responses like ‘youll mess up your chest and never be able to have top surgery’ or ‘youll break your ribs’ or anything along those lines of things that have been repeated millions of times. i just need help or how someone elses experience went, if anyone here went through something like this.

I apologize if I am not supposed to do this or something but I wish to ask here as well, but to make something clear, I’m not asking for a definitive answer…just what to explore in that regard since this is fully new to me…

Advice needed Should I bite the bullet, and transition (tf 15)

For some context, I live in the US (in a red state), but luckily my family supports people who are LGBT, I know for instance people I hangout with at school do make transphobic jokes, sometimes I do to fit in (but it might also be some internalized transphobia too). But for the most part I don't think of my "cis" presenting self as a transphobic person. I want to transition, I want to be a girl, I want to live as a girl, but the task of transitioning just is too daunting to me. If I do how would I go about that, I'm not really sure if there's an answer to that. So should I transition?

Advice needed how to actually platonically talk with girls irl?

apologies if the title looks a bit creepy; that was not my intent. by "talking to" i speak in a PLATONIC, not a romantic, sense.

for context im 16F, still saving up for diy HRT. family does not know, but for over a month i've been able to girlmode at school and have comen out (they seem supportive) and have even passed as a girl to some strangers there. i do live in a blue state in the US.

however, i do feel like i'm running into an issue: most of the people whom i usually be talking to (btw im not that social a person anyway, basically just a loner who sometimes enters the convos), they're boys. i don't rly have any people i'd call friends, but literally almost all of my acquaintances i've gotten to know over the past few years are all boys. i still end up congregating with boys, despite knowing that i am not one of them; i'm not used to talking with girls. tbh, im not rly a talkative person. and my social skills are whack bc of autism.

i really don't get how to phrase this nor what i ought to do. how can i actually initiate conversations with other girls? i feel like once i started my social transition, i've forborne more often from talking to boys, yet i am still anxious about talking to girls, thereby increasing my lonerness. am i chasing an unobtainable goal, or am i just being impatient?

Advice needed Questions about DIY for a minor

hi! I am vee, I am a 14 year old trans girl. honestly, till now I haven’t really considered DIY is something I want to do but now I’m interested, I just wanna figure out some details about it.

  1. How does it work? Like where do you go to get it and how do you “apply“ it?

  2. What should I do if I don’t have the ability to get blood test done

Question About to turn 18 in less than a month

What type of doctor do I go to for testosterone?

My mom wants to do a ton of research before actually helping me transition, including what the health risks of binders are, what the effects of testosterone are, etc.

I'm impatient and I want T. I want binders. I don't want to be a woman anymore.

Where do I go?

Vent I don't know how to feel.

Hi, I'm 16 in an area where transitioning isn't an option, a little bit ago, around january a freind of mine asked me to join her smp, in february I was at a poin where denying my identity was futile so I had asked this smp to call me a new name and use different pronouns to try and put it to an actual test, low and behold I now use she/her exclusivly, the freind who invited me though couldnt accept my identity and banned me (there was a bit more to it than that, I just need to summarize) people from the smp quit talking to me except for two people, one of which emotionally manipulated me as I was in a terrible mental state, and the other was religious but was using my actual identity, we would call, vent to each other, and it would be fun, today i received a dm, telling me that he can't talk to me anymore, he can't call me by she/her but he can't misgender me because he knows it hurts, so he isn't gonna talk to me, its essentially what my first freind had said (the one who invited me to their smp) only without the respectfulness and curtesy, I don't know how to feel, I want to be angry, but that isnt fair because he was actually respectful about it, I want to be hurt but for some reason im not allowing myself to be, i want to block him, but it doesnf seem fair given how respectful it was, i want to write and angry msg but i cant, the only thing i could muster was "Ok", i dont know what to do, how to go about this, im rly hurt but im not allowing myself to feel the hurt so I just dont know

Vent I dont know how to tell my girlfriend I'm transmasc

We've been together 7 months and its been the best months of my life. god the pain i was feeling genuinely got so much better thanks to her, but i dont know how to tell her i'm a trans guy. She's lesbian, and im the more masc one in the relationship, but im scared to tell her. im sure she'd understand but what if she doesn't. She has 2 mums who know about our relationship and love me, and my parents, i haven't told them yet, i told them i might be trans (to ease them in) and that didn't go well so I took it back, and I guess that's kinda thrown me off telling my girlfriend. I tell her and everyone else that I use any pronouns (and to be creative) but everyone uses she/her (I'm only out to 2 of my friends and one of my teachers) and very very occasionally they/them which is really nice, but it barely ever happens. I'm just apprehensive. I dont want to change our realtionship because i love her more than anything, but she deserves to know. idk. any advice would be nice but im js venting.
