Tori Amos - Juarez (1999)

https://youtu.be/Xwyuwezv1zA?si=1DzKFVqjX3x7ZWmD

A lot of trippity-hoppers have overlooked Tori as among the pinnacle of the genre (including myself for a long time) largely because of her singer songwriter moniker, subtle shifts between genre, and it’s rarely her radio songs. So I wanted to share one that will hopefully lead ppl to reevaluate her music with that in mind

This is my favorite Tori album, and this is my favorite song on it. I was JUST listening to this one last night. The bass line at the end when the song reaches its peak is so fucking nice. What a great song. Tori is a goddess.

This was a double album of sorts, where one disc was a conventional release of new music, and the other was a live album of her classics. The version of Cornflake Girl on there is absolutely phenomenal.
