Stimmzug erstes Ventil

Hallo,

I use tuning slide oil. Grease works too. It can be helpful to put one (1) drop of valve oil on the sticky part.

If this doesn’t help it’s time to take your horn to a shop to get looked at it may need repair

A technician can align the tubes so the slide works properly. Do not use abrasives on the inner tubes, that's the hack's way out and can cause air to leak or the tubes to bind.

If you are adventurous you can scrub the slide with a greeny, the rough poly pads used to clean pots and pans. This will slightly polish the brass by removing any residue, but if you are too aggressive it can remove metal too. Which you can't put back. So take it easy.

In practice you would need to be a maniac with the greeny to really cause damage, but still it is possible.

Don't use anything stronger than a white pad. White pads are nonabrasive, used to remove grime from your shiny pots and pans and not scratch the fine flatwear and brightwork. Green pads are way too rough - yes, they WILL damage yellow brass slides if they're made slick to start with like a valve slide, and blue pads, I don't think I'd use those, either. What do you think all those public restroom fixtures had the finish removed with? Janitors not given the proper tools and training who had a green pad and pine oil, not enough time, and not enough pay to care.
