I’m proud of you for breaking up with this person. They are not a safe person at all. This absolutely was sexual assault. It’s not okay that they made it your responsibility to get them off. Being frozen like that is the same as saying no. No one taught them this. It’s not your fault if they are having a bad time now because of the break up.

When you start dating again, make it a habit of saying no to them, before you do anything intimate. This is a way to check to see if they can handle themselves not getting their way, especially if “you promised”. A mature partner always accepts being told no without backlash.
