Uber Eats Fare Issue
Hey guys đđ˝ never posted here before but ive been doing Uber Eats for 6 years just about and today I accepted an order at Costco when the trip popped up it said 35 with guaranteed included tip so I accepted it it ended up costing $1,126.17 by far my biggest order so I was kinda hyped you know cause generally if you spend that much youâd leave a good tip⌠well that did not happen for me i completed the delivery and later found out I only received $35 fare for the trip which in my opinion for uber to pay that much for what I spent is crazy IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE and then the person took the tip away like a complete a-hole sorry for no punctuation by the way Iâm not in the mood to sit here and punctuate this right now I spoke to uber and they confirmed that it said there was a guaranteed tip and then basically just did not help me they paid me $35 dollars for almost an hour and a half of my time for me to deliver to some millionaire who cant tip a trip of this magnitude should have an automatic tip that the person should not be able to change and as uber drivers we need to stand up I do uber to make extra money to support my family I have a 2 year old and I know many others have children and do uber for the same reason as me if not more and when I spend this amount of time for honestly what Iâd consider chump change Ob how big of an order it is itâs frustrating

If you saw it said $35 why take it if you're not happy with $35? You saw the pay and still decided to take it đ
If you were hoping for a random big extra tip then you're a fool. Always expect that what the offer amount says is what you're gonna get.

I accepted an order at Costco when the trip popped up it said 35...
Even if it says with guaranteed tip included, that means if there's a tip you're guaranteed to get it. If there's not then you get nothing. So at minimum you'll get $35. Always assume if an offer says an amount that would 99% of the time be the amount you get. Now you know to never bet on human generosity when taking an order đ

Tips not guaranteed. Same as Instacart grocery ? Donot do grocery. Waste time.

Then why do I get trips from time to time that say that thereâs a guaranteed included tip itâs confusing I spent almost an hour and a half and got paid $35. I couldâve made so much more money doing other orders in that time but yeah lesson learned I will not be doing no more shopping pay orders anymore after today like Iâm fed up with Uber. It makes no sense that they would also pay $35 fair on a $1200 order almost like that makes absolutely no sense to me.

Part of whatâs confusing to me is that when I was on the phone with Uber support about this order they even confirmed that there was supposed to be a guaranteed included tip and proceeded to not pay me anything except for the $35 fair. That is the only reason why I wouldâve ever accepted a trip at Costco is if there is a guaranteed tip and it was actually worth my time.

The âguaranteed tipâ means they will pay what they offered you. It doesnât mean you will get an additional tip. If they offer you $35 you get $35. It just means that if the customer lowers their tip then uber will still pay you the amount they offered.

I guess i didnât understand it to be that way but in my opinion thatâs kinda stupid, no? Even so uber only paying $35 for a $1100 dollar order makes no sense either if you ask me? I mean ive been doing uber for 6 years.

Iâve never seen base pay that high. To be honest. And yes guaranteed tip just means they canât take the tip away. Thatâs all it means.

I gotcha and I tend to get offers like this from time to time even just for normal pickup orders I was a diamond member but dropped recently because of my acceptance rate

You accepted the order knowing it paid $35. What is your issue exactly? Can you show the breakdown that shows $0 tip?
