Rockhold was supposed to beat Bisping "by whatever". Same for Adesanya vs Strickland.
Things in modern MMA at the championship level are rarely "wins by whatever".

MMA is majority styles make fights, same happened with Adesanya. Strickland was one of the worst matchups for him, not saying Islam is a nightmare matchup for Prates but he clearly struggles against Wrestling and he is not going to fill that gap with dedicated training camps to counter Islam's wrestling.

I think people forget Prates is a BJJ black belt and he's probably drilling takedown defense so much that he sometimes even forgets to smoke a cigarette
Obs: I think if Prates utilizes his calf kicks and jabs well, he can dictate the pace from the outside and eventually land a money shot.

Only way we can possibly get finish is if by some miracle Prates finds that chin early.
Otherwise it will be cuddlefest just like JDM fight.

Meh. I don’t see how it isn’t an easy sub or Dec for makhachev. We’ve seen prates easily controlled by Edwards, JDM, and Garry. Two of which makhachev beat easily. I love prates but I don’t care for this matchup. Morales is a way better fight and I’d rather see makhachev vs morales.
