Recommendations Good recommendation for a OLED ULTRAWIDE monitor?

I’m looking forward to get my first OLED ULTRAWIDE monitor but there’s so many to choose from and I’m honestly lost.
My budget is around $1500-$1700 CAD, preferably 40” plus screen. 4K or 5K resolution with a nice refresh rate around 240-330hz. I mainly play first person shooter games competitively. I would like to get an ultra wide with more vertical depth rather than horizontal. Any recommendations with the specs listed is high appreciated. Thank you for the help ;)

If you don't prioritize HDR, Sceptre's 5K2K model may be of interest to you.

For your budget, the Alienware 5k2k 39' fits perfectly, it is one of the best UW monitors out there rn hands down. Plus since you mentioned that you play shooters, it is dual mode for higher FPS and can reshape the active display area into 27 and 24.5 inch.

The 45” 5k2k blows me away every time I game. I keep saying it but it’s truly VR without goggles. The 800r curve is scientifically matched to the curvature of our vision. I get absolutely lost inside the game.

If you play fps games comp, then 40" screen might not be great for you. Not to mention if you're spending that much on a monitor for that purpose, you want closer to 1440p/500hz. Idk of any 40"+, the ASUS PG34WCDN is 34" ultrawide 360hz is maybe the closest you'll get.

That's a fantastic recommendation, and I agree with Sorronto, 5K2K ultrawides are probably not going to be for you if you want to play FPS games competitively. The LG 39GX950B, LG 45GX950A, and AW3926QW all have dual mode support for 2560x1080 @ 330 Hz, but even then, you're going to be at a competitive disadvantage because 1080p on these displays makes everything look very blurry.

I am debating about the aw39 monitor. So many complaints about the panel uniformity issues.
I am also looking to buy a prebuilt
I’ll go for a 5080 build cuz even tho its $5k, its still $4-5k cheaper than a 5090 built.

How would games like cyberpunk look on a 5080 system with the aw39 monitor?
Should I consider some other monitor?

I play Cyberpunk in 5K2K at max settings and path tracing with DLSS set to Performance and 3X frame gen, and it looks and runs great. The awesome thing about the 39' 5K2K displays is that you can actually run Cyberpunk in Ultra Performance mode for even more frames and it still looks really good!

Yep, sorry, forgot to specify that!

You are able to play the game at max setting, you mean the ultra settings? With 5080 does it not stutter? What fps are you getting?

Appreciate the advice! I do gaming on console as well and having good resolution was another thing I forgot to mention. I wanna experience the immersion and see what the hype is about
