Question Dehydrating discreetly

Is there any way to dehydrate discreetly? I'm fine w/ running a dehydrator in my closet but I'm worried about the noise, and most importantly the smell that mushrooms produce during the dehydration process.

Lower temps have given less smell for me I do 120F

do you mind elaborating? on a scale of 1 - 10 how stinky is your room after dehydrating some mushrooms on that temp and im guessing you do 12+ hrs.

They don't have this on stock on amazon but it's a $96 so i doubt youd want it. regardless it doesn't matter, just go low and slow. If you go with a circle dehydrator, dont be ambitious and do less grows because their capacity isn't the best, especially if you grow strains that get big

Makes about as much noise as a fan, which is to say not much. I found mine to be an excellent white noise machine too.

I have an extra room for my lab, including my dehydrator. Also a bed and TV lol. I'll actually sleep in there while I'm dehydrating sometimes, and the tiny amount of background noise from the hydrator, I've also noticed is so relaxing when laying down to nap, in darkness with the illumination of the dehydrator's number screen... It's actually slept on lol IMO

Try fb marketplace. You'd be surprised how many people are trying to get rid dehydrators... I bought mine, a "Cosori" 6 tray, horizontal fan. Sells for $150 on Amazon, paid $80 cash. Brand new, sealed box, never been opened

When I was flatting and trying to hide this I would pop the dehydrator out my window with a fan blowing on it lol. If I had to do it discreetly now I would probably just let them air dry, maybe with a fan depending on your climate. It smells a bit at the start if you're dehydrating quickly
