extracurriculars & social life Incoming intl graduate student - looking for on-campus job

I heard from some of my friends that getting a job at the U is getting more difficult. I am incoming intl graduate student and would like to secure a job before January 2027.

Do you guys know any department that is always hiring and/or any side gigs?

Do u have funding from the department or the professor? If so, normally u could not take another on campus job, unless it’s during the breaks.

I do not, but for now I am looking for a main job I could have on campus.

Maybe the campus store? You can also check around for restaurant and cashier jobs on or near campus. Otherwise check the U of U employment website

most international students take out a loan or work during the summer in an internship.

If you are willing to work in IT you can check out https://sudo.utah.edu/ - it is a program designed specifically for students and there are almost always openings available.
