🎙️Discussion ENJOY THE RIDE!
From a Minnesota native now living in Utah and cheering y’all on as an outsider. The privilege you have in having a 6-0 team in the playoff conversation is unreal. So what if it was close and y’all made a few mistakes? You WON and YOU ARE 6-0! And this state has 2 elite teams!
Look at the abysmal gophers! We suck and will always suck.
Complain and downvote if you want but you don’t know how good you have it right now

Everyone needs to calm down.
This was the craziest week in college football in basically forever.
#1 Georgia lost to unranked Auburn.
#2 Notre Dame lost to BYU, but the Big 12 admitted today that there should have been enough time for Notre Dame to run 1 more play from the BYU 8 yard line.
#3 Miami won after 2 crazy bad calls in double overtime took a touchdown away from FSU, twice.
#4 Ohio State won a tough road game.
#5 Indiana lost a tough home game.
#6 Alabama lost to Tennessee.
#7 Texas lost to an unranked team.
#8 BYU won a tough home game and the Big 12 admitted Notre Dame should have had 1 more play from the BYU 8 yard line.
We had 2 offensive linemen get injured. I don't know the extent of their injuries, but that absolutely had an impact on the game. We also had some absolutely terrible refs.
Colorado was coming off a bye week, knowing they were fighting for their season.
We survived. We won a game that we had every reason to lose. And we did it on a day when almost all of the highest ranked teams either lost or should have lost. We won without it being controversial.
We lose that game if Whittingham was still the coach, no doubt.

🎙️Discussion Utah currently has the longest active win streak at 12 games.
I know last night was rough but we have the longest active win streak in FBS. Every team has had rough games this year and everyone looks vulnerable. Multiple top 10 teams lost yesterday and some of them at home to unranked teams. We have some things we need to work on. However right now, enjoy where we are at because at some point we will have a loss. 6-0, currently in the top 10 with a first year head coach.

🎙️Discussion Week 7 Takeaways - Let’s hear yours
Sheesh what a week! Utah had the opportunity to shoot up in the polls and might’ve blown their chance. Still, coming out of Boulder with a win is always a good thing and the Utes move to 6-0. We are now 9-1 against Colorado in our last 10 matchups.
While there are a few reasons to be nervous, we may have seen the craziest week in college football, and I am happy to have survived.
Here are my 3 biggest takeaways:
There is a time for trickery, and a time to get funky. Why we didn’t run it with Wayshawn up the middle while just about on the goal line is beyond me and to throw and interception is even worse. We’ve now had two games with a poorly closed 1st half at the hands of Dampier/play calling that have completely changed momentum. Going into half 21-0 would’ve been huge.
Our secondary still has some issues. I thought we improved from Kansas, but this week had some stupid blown coverages. It also feels like every bad QB has their legacy game against us. Bad luck or bad defense?
It’s an over reaction to call this season 9-3. But also an overreaction to call us a definite top 10 team.
Excited and nervous for Houston. A win would show us that we are legit and can contend. For now, we know we aren’t in the bottom half of the Big12.

We are 6-0. Somehow potentially top 10 in the country after tomorrow.
At the end of the day, the Utes have figured out how to win every game. That’s what matters. Something note worthy is yes we almost lost but we got punched in the face with 17 points and then immediately punched back. We rallied.
Colorado has a good defense, and Isaac Wilson played a miracle game, and our defense is going to wake up.
The Utes won. Not always the best feeling, but the Utes won. See you guys on Saturday.

🎙️Discussion Our 2nd Half Coaching is a Problem
I’ve always been taught that good coaches thrive after halftime because they know how to make the right adjustments. I’m not calling for any coaches heads, but it just seems like Utah has been outmanned in the 3rd quarter the last 3 games we’ve played.
I feel like if we don’t figure something out soon, this next run of games could get really ugly. I’m not sure how we come out on top against teams like Houston unless we know how to finish games.
With that said, I’m still grateful to be 6-0 and have faith in Scalley. There have been a lot of years where things have been much worse. I just want to see this team succeed and I’m not sure how we can do that playing like we have the past 3 weeks.
