My freshmen year in West, I essentially had a 3rd person living in my roommate and I’s room and never heard a thing about it. I did, however, get my bubble gun that looked nothing like a normal gun confiscated during a room check.
My sophomore year in UCF, I accidentally left a candle out for room inspections and my RA turned around and told me I had 5 seconds to hide it.
My advice is to get a storage ottoman (one of the cube ones from 5below for like $10) and put anything you don’t want found in there. They can’t open anything that isn’t university property.

Usually not bad at all. The odd Christian on a crusade against sin, but it’s rarer than not.

Was a couple years ago, but my girlfriend at the time moved in for my freshman year before I got my house. We also had a dog for the entirety of the second semester. In my experience, you can do anything you want within some reason

I have lived in UCF for 3 years. As long as you are not being an asshole and disturbing people around you, or dangerous they do not care. I have seen people get away with a lot

I lived in UCF with an RA as my roommate. She didn’t care what we did as long as she didn’t see anything.

I would say depends on the RA and also the roommates. RA’s tend to have a “don’t ask, don’t tell” mentality, however there is always someone who is hellbent on being a detective to other’s “wrongdoings.” So just be careful who you rant/reveal the secret: dog, alcohol stash, or whatever it may be. Big brother is watching just be discreet.
