What do yall think of the uni for dentistry and spain as an option in general. My other options are hungary, germany, turkiye and romania. The only good thing with ue is that they give me an unconditional offer. Otherwise my other university options are much better honestly (for me personally). Idrc ab like party atmosphere n whatnot. Im fine with the atmosphere and weather in my other options. Is it worth securing my unconditional offer for the tuition im gonna be paying? Or you suggest i risk it by getting conditional offers in other unis? Btw if i dont apply to spain now they wont have a seat for me when results come out.

Tengo un máster en Química y quiero desarrollar mi carrera profesional en mi campo de estudios, en lugar de seguir trabajando en empleos no relacionados con mi formación. Actualmente vivo en Valencia, pero mi nivel de español todavía es limitado. Hablo inglés, aunque todavía no hablo español con fluidez.

Estoy interesado en encontrar oportunidades en laboratorios, la industria farmacéutica, la industria química, el control de calidad (QC), la garantía de calidad (QA) y la investigación.

Me gustaría saber si hay cursos, diplomas o certificaciones específicos que puedan ayudarme a entrar en el sector en Valencia. También me gustaría saber si es posible encontrar un trabajo relacionado con la química hablando inglés mientras sigo aprendiendo español.

Si alguien trabaja actualmente en este sector en Valencia o conoce a alguien que pueda orientarme, agradecería muchísimo su ayuda. Tengo muchas ganas de aprender, desarrollar mis habilidades y empezar a construir una carrera profesional relacionada con mi formación académica.

Does anyone know whether there is a place to watch St Pauli (2te Bundesliga 😔) tomorrow evening?

I am in the process of moving here. I was looking for housing and booked through Spotahome. I found it confusing because the wording said if there's any issues you can cancel within 48 hours of the move in date.

I sent a request thinking it was an inquiry, was about to cancel when my booking was accepted at 1am. I decided to try it out and got the key from the landlord 3 days BEFORE and when I went there it was uninhabitable and filthy. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months level. I didn't even get to my room, took pictures and told the landlord I'm not interested. I immediately notified Spotahome and they didn't respond for a week (they're supposed to cover short term rentals if there's an issue)

When they finally reviewed my booking they said because it's common spaces that were filthy, their policies don't apply and they kept the whole months rent and claim they sent it to the landlord. The landlord (a company) vehemently denies receiving payment from them (they said they'd refund me if they did) but Spotahome says they sent them a payment on a set date.

I went and filed a claim with OMIC but I know it's voluntary. I also put a dispute with my bank but Spotahome insists that their policies are clear that if the other tenants are the reason, then they're not responsible. This might apply if it was normal uncleanliness but they sold me this apartment with clear long term issues. There was also a broken door but I didn't get a photo of it in the moment.

While I wait for OMIC and my bank, I am wondering is there anything else I can do to recuperate my funds?

Hola! Vivo de alquiler en Mislata (Valencia).
Contrato de vivienda habitual de larga duración (LAU, 1 año + prórrogas hasta 5), firmado el 11 de noviembre de 2025, así que el primer aniversario es el 11/11/2026. Casero persona física.

Pago 1.000 €/mes (comunidad incluida, amueblado). He mirado el índice de referencia del Ministerio (SERPAVI) y para mi piso el máximo es 619 €.

El contrato dice que la renta se actualiza cada año según el IPC. Hoy el casero me ha dicho que me la sube a 1.050 € (5%).

Por lo que he leído el RDL 29/2026 (en vigor desde el 8 de octubre) dice que si la renta supera el límite del índice de referencia no se puede aplicar ninguna subida, y en los demás casos máximo un 2%. Y sin el decreto, el límite sería el IRAV (2,54%), no el IPC.

Dudas:

1. Puede subirme algo o con el decreto la subida tiene que ser 0?
2. Le pido directamente no aplicar ninguna subida basándome en el RDL?
3. O es mejor no pelear y ofrecerle el IRAV (~1.025 €) para llevarnos bien y que no me eche (el contrato tiene cláusula de necesidad del arrendador)?

Edit: He consultado con un abogado y me ha confirmado que ni siquiera puede subirlo según el IRAV, por la LDR en efecto. Le dije que no iba a pagar. Me llamó cabreadísimo diciendo que tenía que irme del piso el mes que viene. Le dije que no podía y que tendría que avisarme con 2 meses de antelación bla bla bla.

Ahora ha vuelto y me ha dicho que no tengo que pagar ninguna subida, pero que me acuerde de lo bien que me ayudó cuando el piso tuvo problemas. Creo que se ha dado cuenta de que perdería como mínimo 2 meses de alquiler si me echaba, y eso no compensa por 50 euros.

Ahora tanto la inmobiliaria como el casero me odian, porque la inmobiliaria también intentó cobrarme los honorarios de agencia de forma ilegal y me negué a pagar
