Shadowman Darque Legacy Hope?

Post image

We all know that the videogame Shadowman Darque Legacy was delayed (again) until "Q2 2026", which came and went without a mention from Valiant or Blowfish Studios. But is it weird that the Tales of the Shadowman Finale is called "Darque Legacy"? On sale just before Halloween.

UPDATE 9/28: On Sale Date changed to November 18th.

Is that Micheal LeRoi that he is holding the hand of?

Most likely it's dead. There are several reasons why: -No communication by any involved company (dev, distributor, artists from previous ShadowMan games). -Postponed again and again without further notice. -E-Mail list on website inactive. -Not very viral when announced on X. -People didn't want a Jack Boniface ShadowMan, instead they wanted more of Michael LeRoi. -People hated the idea of a souls-like game, instead they ask for a new and exciting, story driven metroidvania, just like the first ShadowMan. -There is not a single screenshot from development or anything in-game; the trailer is just a bought artwork, nothing more. -Valiant has (again) had financial issues and developing a game is expensive.

If there was something even close to a game, they would announce and push every detail to get more attention, but they didn't and don't.

Edit: a game like the original (1999) isn't possible anymore. The gore, violence, storytelling would cause a backlash in modern media. The only chance to get our hands on a new game would be an indie-dev picking up on the assets and ideas, creating a non-licensed indie game.
