To be fair in surprised at how well the original holds up.

Yes, to me this comparison just told me "Hey! The original actually still looks good you can just play that"

Bro that’s what I thought till I saw that they’re smoothing out the combat and ADDING characters and elements to the story. At this point I’d much rather play this new one

Played through the AC2 trilogy, AC3 and Black Flag last year, definitely still holds up very well. Only had some slight issues due to newer drivers ( had to downgrade ) and change a setting in the "ini" file.

But from a playing experience with the pirating, dialogue and overall world traveling it's still superb. Graphics still look very good from a distance only close up obviously a little dated.

Yeah, don’t really understand the need for this,

The original AC or the original Black Flag?

I love the story in the original AC, totally under rated game. Black Flag is IMO the culmination of the pre-change days.

The original Black Flag.

I agree that the first AC has a great underlying story and was very impressive at the time, but it suffered from the repetitive mission structure. AC1 is the game that REALLY needs a ground-up remake.

The original AC is the one that needs remaking out of any of them. That is the one that feels super dated, maybe AC2 too as it is a little clunky but is worlds more modern feeling than AC1.

Honestly it’s making me question why the remake should be $80 like I’m seeing people say it will be

It's 60 for the standard edition and 70 for the deluxe edition

Instead of just parroting random bullshit, you should at least do the bare minimum of research
