Agreed. I tried so hard to like Elden Ring. I really did. But everything about it just wasn't my thing at all. I found the world a little bleak, I spent 20 hours running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out what to do and then getting absolutely blasted and killed by bosses that were miles above my level. I just found it hard to figure out where to even begin tbh. After 20 hours I shouldn't feel so directionless. I don't expect a game to hold my hand, I love exploring a good open world and getting lost doing random stuff. But I just couldn't grasp this goddamn game whatever.
At the end of the day, I got a job, I commute to work and have other responsibilities in life, I just don't have the time nor patience to fart about a world like this with very little reward for hours upon hours.
