Image / Video The Finals now has even better destruction (even though it was already insane before)

this game keeps on getting updates for free even though the player counts are in the mid 20,000s which is kinda bad....

this game has so much more than what is shown in this video, literally watch any video documentary on this game and they will say its like the combination of every good system from other FPS games combined into 1

It's really cool but I would much rather this kind of destruction in a single player or pve game where I could appreciate it more

The destruction physics are calculated on the servers of the game so the players only have to simulate the graphics, less CPU usage for players too

Eh, I think you’re overlooking the impact players add to the system. Its cool if YOU are doing it, but seeing other players do shit like crashing a building into yours to contest is next level. Its the combination of minds and how they see the world that does it for me.

Yea I get that. I'm just not a huge competitive fps player so would love it in a story driven rpg or something. Hell, I'd take that system and put it in all games as it's so good, it's just attached to a type of game in not particularly fond of. I love it's interaction with player though

I get what you are saying but having something like in a single player doesn’t really make sense, at least to me. Few will interact with it unless you specifically build around it for players to appreciate.

I feel like at that point you’d be making a demolition simulator game instead of something else. In my opinion, if you want a story driven rpg, destruction of this level wouldn’t be something to expect.

If you really like to just mess around with destruction/physics definitely check out “Teardown”. Its an amazing singleplayer/coop sandbox game with an insane amount of mods, but LOTS of vanilla content that is really fun.

With a puzzle based campaign if you wanted more structure and direction on what to do rather than just the samdbox itself.

Well seeing as how Embark develop this technology to later license it out to other devs. You'll probably start seeing this level of destruction in future games

Careful with that opinion around here. We get downvoted for it. God forbid the gaming industry be diverse.
