It must suck for those who rode that earnings rally and didnt take profit. To think we’re back at the prices pre earnings (smh)
I spent my last 10k on nbis. Wish I wouldve had more to spend.

It is the 3rd time this year that pullback happnes. I took profits of 60-110% each time accross MU, SNDK, NBIS and CRWV.
See if we can do it a 3rd time 😂

Listen it's all good until the game of musical chairs stops. Nvidia chips, micron, AI, storage, data centers, Etc all buying from each other until......... theres a slow down, and or China makes models 1/10th the price....
Whoopsie Daisy, and everything falls together in a big pop!
It's all fun and games until the AI bubble pops....
42
u/Scaevus 1d ago
China already makes models 1/10 the price.
The reason why the American stock market is betting the entire economy on AI is the plot of Star Trek V: the Final Frontier.
In that movie, a crazy person hijacks expensive equipment in a search for god, who turns out to be a false god.
5
u/G0D5M0N3Y 1d ago
I honestly think that it's super hyped to keep the current administration's market up and also to bring the AI companies into the stock market at extremely high evaluations. Once that happens the AI bubble completely pops because there's too many competitors.

All trump had to do was no tariffs and no war. Market would be chugging along.

6
u/Regenbooggeit 20h ago
Yeah people forget the idiot in charge is actively trying to sabotage everything while piling on cash for his own. No war and tariffs means no significant inflation and we wouldn’t have had all this bullshit. Even might’ve seen a rate cut.

People should have taken the idiosyncratic risk of the United States into account.
The country has a tendency to destroy itself periodically.
2
u/Visible-Task-2798 3h ago
Honestly the market was so irratiobally high into AI on January that perhaps the they realized it was going to burst and the war chilled the marked down before it popped.

William Shatner directed it. In the opening scene, Captain Kirk is on shore leave, free styling El Capitan in Yosemite.
Why does he scale the mountain?
Director William Shatner: “because he wants to make love to the mountain.”
There are some good movements, the quiet ones. Like when Kirk Spock and McCoy are sitting around the campfire debating “marshlemons” (I really wanted that marshmallow dispenser when I was a kid), or when McCoy, during a psychological trial, declares “I need my pain!” Or when in the ending scene, the main three debate where - and who - God actually is. Just don’t go in expecting it to be a masterpiece.

Bad news for China this week: https://www.reuters.com/world/china/anthropic-says-new-safeguards-sharply-reduce-ai-distillation-attacks-2026-10-13/
Honestly could be that this reality hitting China’s AI strategy is causing them to pivot towards bringing the whole story down instead of trying to undercut it.
9
7
u/Nastyoldmrpike 21h ago
That's going to hit Anthropic's revenue considering about 10% of it is from other companies distilling their models.
-1
u/TheKingInTheNorth 16h ago
Estimates are more like 3-4%. And how many companies trying to use models like Qwen and Kimi are going to be forced to adopt Claude once those models start falling behind? Eventually that’ll be far more revenue than the distillation was.

u/AutoModerator 1d ago
This "pivot." Is it in the room with us now?

Lumping it in with CRWV is lazy tho, NBIS cash basically covers its debt per their Q2 numbers while CRWV is sitting on ~$30B net debt. Doesn't make it cheap, it's just getting dumped with the whole neocloud basket.
3
u/Charming_Raccoon4361 15h ago
(CRWV) purchases approximately 8% of Nvidia's total AI chips, debtweave goes down entire ecosystem might shatter

I don’t know what’s worse. US AI koolaid or China koolaid
-11
u/G0D5M0N3Y 1d ago
Ai is actually horrible. Bunch of fake videos that just annoy everyone. Data centers that cause cancer and noise. Making kids more dumb by not studying or using their brain. Or very very skewed to what it's handlers allow it to process and put out.
13
7
u/Brave-Temperature495 1d ago
It’s clearly useful. If you know anyone who runs / works in a small business especially
2
u/RuleSafe6767 1d ago
The thing is, Nvidia and Micron can go toe to toe with hardware that's 1/10the the price when China eventually catches up with inference chips and memory, and they will still turn a profit that other fortune 500 companies would love to have.
Just like Cisco was able to do against Chinese layer 3 network fabric chips that helped pop the dot-com era circular financing.
The froth will get baked out and the AI space will be stronger and more competitive for it.

u/ClearlyAThrowAwayA 1d ago

I'm not really a AI hater and honestly, after all the hype and honeymoon phase, my AI usage has reduced drastically. This despite new frontier models being released every other month. The use case if you aren't a software engineer has really shrunk to the same few set of tasks which doesn't recur often enough to make it worth this huge valuation.
6
u/Soggy-Summer3659 16h ago
If you can't think of a use-case for non-software engineers "beyond a few tasks" then you are just not smart enough to evaluate the usefulness of AI.
I can give you one that improves the speed of something from anything between 30 minutes and hours to literal seconds, which happens multiple times a day at a company with some sort of internal documentation. And that is search for internal information. With an LLM that has access to your internal docs, a simple search query in natural language can be contextualised and have the answer presented to you accurately within seconds together with the source which otherwise would take you like I said, potentially hours to investigate manually. And I come across this situation many times every single day. So, if you can't think of a use-case then you are not qualified to evaluate the usefulness and demand of AI as a whole.
Unfortunately for companies though, it is full of inept people like you incapable of evaluating the usefulness of it and incapable of using it straight up and as such they are losing tons of potential value because people are not smart enough to use the easiest tool of modern times.

u/Antique_Practice_403 16h ago
People in my company are getting trained on AI daily. It's only just beginning. I'm very sketpical of people here who are bearish on AI. Either they don't know what it is, or they are just bots!
3
u/dinglebarryb0nds 15h ago
yea it's a useful tool that can save tons of time
the thing is, are these models going to actually profit or just undercut each other down to nothing
nobody should be questioning the usefulness of AI, anyone could benefit. Will these companies like anthropic actually make anywhere near the money to justify valuations? that's the question, and getting their shit stolen and open sourced is going to make it tough

u/KevinAlc0r 11h ago
Exactly this. I am a software engineer working with AI everyday and I used it daily for pretty advanced use cases.
I fully agree that AI is good and sexy but it is nowhere close to being as revolutionary as inventions like the internet or the telephone. Every single one of AI use-cases we see today like automation, information lookup, troubleshooting, art creation, etc are the same things that humans have been able to do but the AI just do it at a far more efficient and effective pace. Intrinsically, it is not introducing a new way of doing things. The invention of the internet introduced a new way of doing things. People can set up a website which is a new way of selling products, a new way of sharing information, or a new way of communicating with others.
You might argue that AI is a new way of doing things but internally it is just doing the same thing you can do but at a faster pace. For example, you can orchestrate several AI agents to run an online business for you. One agent will be a web developer that creates and maintains the website, one agent will run product research, one agent will run marketing campaigns, one agent will maintain your finances, etc. Are any of these roles new? Not at all! You can use AI to ask for information and do research for you. Can you do it without AI? Definitely, it will just take time. You can ask AI to debug your code and look for problems, can a human software engineer do it? Absolutely, but the AI will be faster.
The real value of AI is just ramping up the speed of everything running on this planet and it does help leading us in making new breakthroughs but in my opinion, compared to the internet, AI is less valuable but we all know that the market runs on hype so we will see

u/Soggy-Summer3659 16h ago
People get trained on AI daily in my company aswell, the problem is the people getting trained are 40+ year olds that just suck at learning new things. And the trainings are usually led by the same inept boomers that think having a power point presentation generated by LLMs or a memo summarized is the peak of AI usefulness. The rate of demand and adoption of AI is heavily held back by the incompetence of humans.

The circular activity will result in a thing that makes trillions of dollars. When the bubble pops it'll be because the thing is complete.
Until then there's no such thing as too much investment.

u/ltzWyatt 23h ago
Nvidia has to go down to a market cap of 200 billion before the AI bubbles considered popped. Until then, I’ll keep buying the discounts.

How regarded do you have to be to not understand how completely and totally self serving it is for Jensen to laud NBIS, CRWV et al? How can you not understand that, if you want exposure to accelerated computing, you just buy Nvidia?

u/Top_Category_2526 1d ago
huh? NBIS is up 100% YTD and its one of the best performing companies
1
u/SpicyElixer 19h ago edited 19h ago
Best performing at what? Borrowing and burning money doing the same shit anyone can do buy buying overpriced chips at peak prices? At peak unrest rates? Stupid business model. Neoclouds run on logic worse than the 2019 weed stock thesis.
17B in debt. Convertible bonds and bonds that will demand cash. Rapidly depreciating assets that were bought at massive premiums.
the core business model is: dilute shareholders and borrow billions to buy rapidly depreciating Nvidia chips at scalper prices, while losing money. Genius.
I love AI but these Reddit hyped neoclouds are back alley 3 card monte operations with an IPO.
4
u/SellingTheta 13h ago
NBIS has 8 billion in debt and 8 billion in cash…..
40 billion in contracted revenue from MSFT and META.

I don't understand how retards like you come out of the woodwork to mock people people for "buying the top" on a stock that dropped 36% in 9 trading days, yeah no shit they're down most people who own the stock are probably down at that point, you could have bought Nebius any time in the past 6 months and you'd probably be down
