Is this new framework the fastest?

https://fourneau.y2kbugger.com

I noticed Zak Kohler's post about a new web framework Roux in the Roc zulip. It looks really fast in his benchmarks compared to Go and Rust.

How is that possible? I'm guessing he is using some tricks with io_uring and an LLVM optimised build.

eh... may have jumped the gun a bit. *many* LLM posts are "is this the new best thing????????" + a link to some absolutely sketchy-ass website. this post fit the template. I can admit there's a good chance I might be wrong.

haha, fair enough. I probably deserve that. I'm sharing sone that is super early in development... and I'm a little biased having spent so much time working on roc itself... but its really cool to see use cases like this being unlocked. The ergonomics of a high level pure functional language and the raw performance competing with hand optimized C.

Let me guess: plaintext hello world, benchmark run by the guy who wrote the framework, on his own machine. Actix-web has been winning TechEmpower on exactly that setup for years.

Ill ask him to compare against Actix-web or add it to his drag race

Which one's are not familiar? I'd be happy to share any references to more information if I can.

My title might be a little clickbait, but I couldnt help myself. Its really cool to see how Zak has put this together to achieve those results and I wanted to share with a community who work in web dev and might appreciate the progress.
