Discussion Which webtoons you would never recommend at all and why?

Post image

Hi, it's me again, the same person who asked for recommendations after being out of webtoon scene for more than a year. Thank you so much for all the recs, I'm sure there are a lot of gems there, and I'll make sure to check them out!

But now I'm curious about the opposite, un-recommendations (is this a thing?). Ever since I used to have more than 10 ongoing ones on my list for each day of the week, I remember I came across a lot of things that it's better to remain forgotten lel, and I bet there are still a lot of these to this day. So, if you could warn me about any webtoon to stay away from, which one would it be, and why do you dislike it?

You can give me any reasoning, like the characters suck, the plot goes nowhere or somewhere you didn't like, or it declines, you never got used to the art, it shows things in a good light that definitely shouldn't be shown as such, the author uses it to fund something problematic, it uses ai, it was never finished, or even if just because the second ML didn't win. Feel free to use this post as your personal vent space if needed haha.

Remember any comments here are based in opinion! So let's stay civil even if someone mentions a webtoon you like, and please never say something that could get you a ban (it goes for the commenters too!). Thank you in advance!

Pic is Shinae from I Love Yoo being disgusted after checking out the un-recommendations.

Operation true love. The title explains everything atp.

I Will recommend to wait for the ending.

The highschool arc was refreshing and then it went downhill transitioning into their adulthood. They pulled a true beauty move which i don't appreciate in the least. Soured the whole thing

Why would you never recommend it? Is it bad?

I read it for a while, but I found the plot meanders and doesn’t really have a consistent goal.  This one plot point is introduced (a magic phone that gives you points for how many people love you, FL has 0 and has to get more or… else?) and it’s hardly ever addressed, which fails to build tension thus losing it’s imperative.  The other plot is that her step sister or whatever is a ho and there’s two guys that like her.  It drags a lot and the more powerful plot line is basically ignored in favor of boring teen drama.

SML trying to home-wreck an already taken girl by confessing, pressing himself against her while half-naked (back hug) with the excuse of, "My button got stuck, help me." None of his weird antics have been held accountable so far. ML being kept on mute so readers are still questioning, even after 30+ chapters, why he left. FL being completely oblivious to all of the SML's antics and never setting any boundaries.

I beg your pardon I am talking about ch 100! She was taken when he tried kiss her. And yes let’s not forget the explicit panel where “provocative” and “press” is written.

Currently they are all  single but i wasn’t talking about that at all!

Operation true love was something I used to be obsessed with pre timeskip. I still love the art which is why I still read it, but man…. The timeskip ruined everything for me. It got so bad that the leads are making out and I can’t wait for the scene to end. Also, genuine question; do people actually continue crushing on people after having no contact with them for 10 years??

Apparently it’s called yearning or his buried feelings erupted again after seeing suae (was it in the closet scene?? Idk)

I like ch 131-138 it was really good but other than that yes too many loose ends and unnecessary dragging or insert of love traingle.
