Probably different for everyone based on their style of riding… my top 3 would be:
1. Makara - Pohatu (upper, mid, lower) into starfish
2. Polhill - Car parts, Ikigai, Serendipity
3. Mt Vic - full super D (old line even though Te Tuara is awesome)

For me… as a kid I’d always smash gravel walking trials down by the creek on the bmx which was sketchy as!! Unfortunately that bike got stolen and didn’t touch riding until I lost my license in my kid 20s and had to bike to work. Had a bright orange GT hard rail which was such a clunker but a couple friends invited me out to do some downhill… albeit I was well under equiped I was hooked. Needless to say the hardtail barely survived my license suspension before having to buy my first dually, a GT I-drive. (Recently saw one for sale on marketplace which I should’ve bought for $400 for nostalgia haha).
I was living in Adelaide at the time and took up racing downhill as a punter and the 2nd bike was Troy Brosnan’s old Mongoose ECD.
I’m sure I’ve been through a million bikes since then.
Love the sport and the camaraderie that comes with it.

Was thinking about this recently on a trip to Rotorua where I was juggling loops with the kids and quick laps and trying to get across as much redwoods as possible… was thinking of all the trial networks back here in Wellington/Hutt/Wainui/CK and thought it would be cool to have a pinned thread about locals ultimate weekend, long weekend or 1 week holiday if it they were to send to a friend who was planning to visit. What would your ultimate bike itinerary be?
