Question First Generation/Legacy

My whole family except for me was born in Ethiopia, and I’m a first generation student, but my sister graduated from Wake Forest in 2020, making Wake the first college that anyone in my family had ever attended. When I reviewed my commonapp, I was labeled as a WFU Legacy and also labeled as a FGen. Can this combination possibly be really good for me?

tbh that prob does you a lot, considering the rarity of being both first gen and legacy

The people reading applications are going to eat that ish up. Ethiopian. First Generation immigrant. Sister is a Wake Forest legacy. You've hit the triumvirate of college admissions directors sweet spots. If you have a 4.5 GPA they might have to change the seat covers in that office.

lol i also did the wake summer immersion program on a full scholarship so if they care about demonstrated interest as much as i hope they do it’ll be really good for me
