Idk, just every time ive seen someone say they built something, it turned out to be an ai coded project, I think some real modders probably use the term but AI bros kinda ruined it
I've been a coder by trade for 15 years and "built" is the common term? Not sure what you're going on about. Anyway, anyone who knows what they're doing with AI can make a proper mod, I just didn't before because I didn't have enough time to do it. Also, it gets really annoying having to say "Claude built it for me" every time. Sure it did the bulk of the work but I had the idea and I steered it and tested it to make sure it's working properly. It's not a "click a button and it's done" kind of thing and Reddit idiots act like it is, while simultaneously claiming AI is stupid and can't really do anything, the biggest paradox of our times.
Most people are not pragmatic and are blinded by some kind of ideology. Either the ultra right wing tech bro that are crazy about it or the anti-AI crowd that thinks it’s the second coming of satan. Meanwhile the vast majority in the middle uses it as a tool and don’t have much problems with it
Real modders are using AI to assist them as well, at minimum to look for bugs. Eventually avoiding it is going to be like saying you hand carve your own furniture.
Interesting. I'll have to keep that in mind. So odd because it's common in software development to refer to a version as a "build" and by extension I suppose saying you "built" it but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes lol.
No, but it's general clickbait speak, by claiming you did it all yourself from the get go.
"I built xy" is a classic for that. Check out all the challenge videos, Minecrafz tutorials etc. on YouTube. They literally always start with an I sentence.

Wait why is this an obvious sign of it being slop? Genuinely curious. Do modders usually use a different term than built?
