Post-Retrospective Discussion #3 - Everything Written by Greg Truman

[u/carl95679]

This will be a different kind of discussion. Let's talk about everything Greg Truman has written for (television, videos, and The Wiggles Movie).

For context, Greg Truman is Anthony's cousin who has provided backing vocals for albums from 1994-1997 and is also a writer for several projects.

These being:

• The Wiggles Movie
• TV Series 1
• Space Dancing
• Whoo-Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins (at least it says on the VHS box set)
• Cold Spaghetti Western
• Racing to the Rainbow

I hyperlinked each of the projects to their respective discussion, in case you feel to copy and paste your thoughts.

I don't usually focus on directors or writers because I focus on the product in hand, but what's your opinion on everything he's contributed?

What I will say is that his work seems to be character-focused or have overarching storylines and/or morals. Whether it's Wally learning to believe in himself or the gang helping Alfonso won the great cook-off so people will come to his restaurant.

And Truman seems to recycle gags here and there. Like the judges showing their scores to the audience in both the Movie and Cold Spaghetti Western. Or Anthony doing goofy things whenever he hears a whistle.

Although, that's a vague critique that could be applied to any video or series.

\I acknowledge that Space Dancing is the only one I haven't watched in the retrospective.\**
