Would be cooler in landscape

I remember when reddit hated anyone filming in portrait. Now with so many people watching short vids in portrait, no one films in landscape anymore. I feel like portrait misses out in a lot of situations.

How is this working. Two cameras? Or maybe the effect of zooming out while moving the camera forward, but it seems like he's also going up or down at the same time. It's a cool effect. Just trying to wrap my brain around it.

It’s just a single camera zoomed in on the operator as the drone flies around.

It's hard to explain in text TBH, but it's simply because your lines of sight to him and the background are moving at different speeds, it's not normally something you could see with your eyes. You could focus on the guy and be moving upwards very quickly (say in a helicopter), but you could only really focus on either him or the background, not both; your mind would "blur" what you weren't focused on. But with a camera, both the man and the mountains can be in focus at the same time, but since the mountains are moving much faster (because it is much further away) it causes this wonky mind-bending effect. Parallax effect is the technical term for it.
Edit: wording

Kind of like watching the landscape go by from a car window. The foreground blazes by while distant objects appear to move more slowly.

I understand how it works, but you said the opposite. Here, the foreground stays relatively still while the background zooms by.
It's really because moving 10 feet to the side right in front of him you may sweep an angle of 40 degrees relative to his head. Looking at the mountains and sweeping an angle of 40 degrees would cover hundreds or thousands of feet.

Likely has a lot to do with the lens on the camera. I’m guessing it’s zoomed in quite a bit, but hard to say. I’m merely a hobbyist with photography and have zero drone experience

Exactly! This is just times however many thousands of feet away the mountains are

Of course you could see it with your eyes; it’s just that you’d be looking at something very far away, so it would appear small. But if you could restrict your attention to just that small area — say, look at it through a long cardboard tube — this is exactly what you’d see.

The Drone is really far away and Zoomed way in, its set to automatically track the subject (the pilot). And then the drone is moving really fast.

Pretty cool zoomed in video from a moving drone, of a guy just standing there!
I'm pretty sure it's all a matter of perspective. Quite literally just a matter of perspective here. Haha.
I believe the drone is pretty far away, zoomed into tht guy. Then the drone flys around / up while maintaining camera focus on the location right above the controller, aka him. And because of the distance and zoomed in camera lense, you see such a significant change in the background.
It's something how the change in perspective really gives the allusion of him flying!!!

Mavic4pro very likely. Then I think some post-stabilizing. Great shot. Saw this a few months back

Why would this be two cameras, how would that change anything, and how would they be used?

Lol. Obviously, the person has trouble conceptualizing reference frames. It's just the drone flying up while tilting the camera down, so the subject stays in the same position. The effect is magnified because there is no mid-ground connecting the foreground to the background.
As you fly in a circle around the target, you just tilt in, so you're always pointed toward the center. The going up one is just tilting the drone done as you fly up, or at least the camera.
But what really makes it nice is that stabilization is phenomenal, I think that's what really makes it cool looking. Especially considering it's a drone and has to compensate for air dynamics, wind/etc...
The lens used probably also adds a scoping effect.

Tried Shazam as well. Gemini couldn't find it either. Might be an AI creation just for the video? Small consolation, but here's one you might like that I just found last weekend

Thank you! No idea why the fuck morons downvote us during a conversation where we discuss ways we _tried_ to find a song
Added the song to my playlist and see now that someone else knew the song from the video too - so double win
