This is true. It's also stupid and won't work.

It's already succeeded.... Even if Russia has complete total victory tomorrow, their economy will be fucked and they are stuck with a territory of uneducated laborers (the educated will flee) with a wrecked infrastructure. Alls the west (Europe and the US) has to do is fuel weapons to insurgents and Putin is bogged down in a forever conflict.

The Western powers know this and thus at this point either outcome of a Russian collapse and reorganization or a Putin "victory" is acceptable.

This was the likely result the moment Putin's initial thrust failed. Funnily enough... I remember talking to my brother saying "holy crap Russia is fucked" the week the invasion failed - purely because Putin maintaining control is reliant on military victory, and thus he cannot afford to declare defeat and maintain his image, and the west knowing this can always keep the Ukraine armed just enough to keep his victory at bay locking him into a checkmate.

The only thing that's surprised me about this conflict is that the Russian elite haven't assassinated Putin yet and reshuffled the government themselves.

Hate to be that guy, but it’s not the Ukraine. Just Ukraine. Not the Russia.

He added “the” by accident one time?

When, ever, do you add “the” to the beginning of a country? The Taiwan? The France?

Mistake makes no sense.

It’s a clear typo that he made one time, what in the world are you talking about? He didnt say “the Russia” one time in his comment

There are multiple countries whose names include “The” by the way. Should probably read and know basic things before you try dunking on anyone

You choosing to misunderstand me is your problem. I didn’t ever say they said the Russia, I was making a point. Have a great day.

How do you know it was by accident?

Ukraine used to be called “The Ukraine” when it was part of the USSR. “The” is no longer used since it is no longer a Russian territory.

Some people still say “The Ukraine” which is why I asked.

And the reason I brought it up at all.

It takes literally no brains not to add the “the”. Who even says the Brazil or the North Korea?
