Been wondering that myself. Do we take to the streets and fight to get our Democracy back? Do we all go on a general strike and halt the economy until they respect the outcome of the election? Do we order a pizza and some wings and watch the next sportsball game?

Perhaps an angry email, and attending a peaceful protest for a couple hours one Saturday located somewhere out of the way so as not to inconvenience anyone

I guess that depends on how much/how long we are able to suffer until we break and actually do something. Also, without effective leadership/strategists, there's no way to make any move that would make any dent if there isnt a followup, it would do nothing and they KNOW this. This is why they squelch groups the moment they pick up steam. Why do you think they've gone after the gay community so diligently?

Transfer of power happens automatically whether or not the current administration want to leave, so US Army would answer to the new president regardless.

Now what happens if the US Military refuses to back the new president? I guess that just becomes a military coup and lord knows what happens there.

Students of history knows what happens there. We've seen it play out time and time again. For the last 18 months, Trump and Hegseth have put lackies in positions of power. He has the military leadership. The only remaining question is how will the rank and file respond.

As the leadership pays them, they're likely to follow the illegal orders, support the existing administration, and support the coup d'etat.

Sorry, but the US as a democratic republic is 3 moves from checkmate at this point. Get out while you still can.

One thing for sure is you can't really discuss it on social media owned by your enemies. This includes r*ddit. I suggest figuring that out ahead of time.

Yes, that much is obvious. If we really want to freak them out, all of us should go silent on social media all at once for an undisclosed amount of time. Maybe we come back maybe we dont. What they want is reaction and if we ignore them and say nothing.....now wouldnt that be a day?

The congress doesn't get to "stay" once the time is out they no longer have any power at all. There is no loop hole they would have to actually stay, no martial law or anything that extends the length of the current congress.

You seem to still be thinking that laws in the US matter... They only matter if you don't have power.

This administration is actively ignoring laws and judicial orders. They can just ignore the results of the election and nothing will happen. Checks and Balances were an illusion this whole time. There is nobody to hold the administration to account except the common people, and they're watching their sportsball and complaining about a trans person existing...

You don't understand, if there is not a new session of congress legally, put to order, everything falls apart, no government services get paid, ect ect. They have been ignoring stuff, but still need the framework setup to abuse.
