How soon before the US sells Russia offensive weapons?

671

u/milkenator 11h ago

Trump did ask Xi if hé wanted to buy weapons from the US

152

u/C9_Chadz 9h ago

What are the chances this administration sells f35s to China...

142

u/meistermichi 9h ago

For a little personal bonus to Trump he'll just hand them the blueprints outright.

78

u/RubiconGuava 8h ago

I mean a load of f35 components ended up in Hong Kong earlier this year.

23

u/DanWillHor 4h ago

It's crazy how we all just ignored and moved past the fact that an F-35 canopy (iirc, at least that much) was diverted to Hong Kong.

If it was a single panel of a wing it would have brought down any other administration. Here, we give decades of R&D to them before they even have to steal it. Nothing.

This is the fall, there likely won't be a rebound.

They did already accidentally ship some parts via Hong Kong, and those got seized by China.

If their former allies and friends stop ordering F35s, they are going have to find buyers somewhere.

39

u/socksockshoeshoe 9h ago

Actually there's no need to even pay for them if you can just pick them up piece by piece as the parts get routed through your neighborhood by UPS

Starlink cuts out at speeds above 161 km/h in Ukraine, while in the EU it continues to work even above 180 km/h, Zelensky said.

According to him, this makes it impossible to use certain interceptors against jet-powered Shahed drones or to deliver food and water to frontline positions using Starlink-equipped drones.

So, Trump and Musk are currently directly responsible for more Ukrainian deaths - both military and civilian.

Russia doesn’t have any diesel to sell and the U.S. doesn’t have any weapons to sell right now. It’s probably just going to be concepts of deals. Money might even exchange hands, but unlikely in return for goods.

The joint project is quite probably to host secret/top secret as well as confidential data.

Don’t worry, the admin will not be American.

And that’s less than a year after Russian cyberattack were aimed at the US and Trump’s answer was that “hack is what Russia does » while dismissing it.

Yeah, sounds great.

Hillary Clinton nailed it on this issue, 9 years ago: https://youtu.be/VVrDjJixbSc

774

u/Necessary-Length3351 12h ago

You don't need to like Clinton to be able to admit that she was 100% right on Trump and his basket of deplorables.

248

u/DazDaSpazz 9h ago

Actually she was only half right. She said only half of Trump supporters could be put in the basket of deplorables.

As it turns out, 100% of Trump supporters can go in that basket.

That 30% of Americans that have zero tolerance for complexity or analysis will simply state this is still undetermined. This is where they have cognitive lock and claim Trump is playing 4D chess because it's far easier than thinking. "We don't have ALL the information so we have to trust him." Followed by some 'borh sides' statement.

The power in FoxNews and Russian/Foreign social media and traditional media manipulation isn't that any of those things convince their disinformation consumers of something, it's that they convince them to believe nothing yet put all of their trust in a cohort.

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing, I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,” Trump said in a July 27, 2016 news conference.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/trump-asked-russia-to-find-clintons-emails-on-or-around-the-same-day-russians-targeted-her-accounts

50

u/DaenakinSkygaryen 7h ago

Also, literally the next day, Russia hacked the DNC and stole the emails, exactly like Trump asked them to. They then released them in a slow drip over the next few months the, to cause maximum damage to Hillary's campaign.

(They also hacked the RNC around the same time, but they never released any of the emails they stole from them. Many people suspect it's because they used those emails to balckmail the GOP into doing their bidding....)

FBI and CIA along with top Trump sycophants all visited Russia. Who knew it was so easy to destroy USA because half the population are truly the dumbest racists.

190

u/Alikont 9h ago

Dugin knew

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundations_of_Geopolitics#HeroSection?wprov=sfla1

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke "Afro-American racists" to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present-day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should "introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social, and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics".[9]

Democrats are the enemy... like biblically or something... and donald trump is their savior from the democrats, which are the 'evil' in the world.. satan/the adversary, you see, is a democrat... and the words democrat and democracy are verry similar, huh, aint that suspicious! ... and democrats want democracy... therefor... democracy must also be bad/evil. Full of wicked people who want rights for people who dont deserve them.

Lets put lead in our water and plastic, heavy metals, and pesticides in our food...drink contaminated water and dirty air, plus a little nuclear fallout..after a few generations nothing bad can happen, it can only good happen? Right?

But this is seriously how immoral and depraved Trump’s base is. Any evil is OK, as long as it’s not done to them.

69

u/canspop 10h ago

And if They get cheaper gas,

Even that's nonsense. I'm finding several reports similar

“Americans have now spent $135 billion more on gasoline and diesel purchases since March 1 than the same period last year,” Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, wrote Friday on the social platform X.

Maybe those gas prices just aren't high enough yet?

28

u/Few-Bass4238 9h ago edited 9h ago

Trump has officially switched his stance to: "High oil prices are good because oil companies are making a killing"

If that's the message right before midterms, RIP normal gas prices.

I was watching the good liars interviewing magats in Alaska. It struck me that these people are straight up brainwashed. Most of them could not articulate a single thing that Trump had done for them yet they firmly believed he was doing so many great things for them. At least one mentioned that he'd saved us from Muslims who wanted to behead us.

Trump derangement syndrome is real - it's just the opposite of what they believe. Trump is simultaneously fixing everything, but because nothing is getting fixed, it just means Trump is powerless to fix anything. It's a paradox to us, but to them it doesn't matter. They just blindly believe

u/MongoBongoTown 4h ago

Yeah. If you take a step back, and look at their attitude towards voting (completely obedience to "their" party even if causes them harm on an untold level to the point they'd rather go under than make their cross five centimeters up or down), they are not fit to actually participate in a democracy. Because democracy means cooperation, informed choice-making, and being able to change your position when it's become untenable. These people are not democratically-minded, self-actualized citizens, they're kings-true loyalists.

The issue is that the right is fully pushing that as a good thing. Which some people on the right are actually believing. The bots continue to spread misinformation about Ukraine and Russia. Either bots, or people who believe bots, are fully on board. They think helping Ukraine is a bad thing. They think Ukraine is just pocketing the money instead of fighting for their very existence. Trump is actively choosing Putin's profit over sovereignty of the country that was attacked to seek profit. Wild timeline. I just watched Hail Mary and it was great, but it made me realize... No one is coming to save us.

Edit: "Project Hail Mary" my bad.

53

u/Tabbyredcat 12h ago

Ok, let's say that all the incredibly obvious lies about Ukraine were true. That they're nazis, that Zelenskyy is keeping all the money for himself, that they started the war. Why not just not help Ukraine? Why is he giving oxygen to a country that is providing intel and other resources to a country the US is at war with?

Because Trump doesn't care about the US. His loyalties are to himself and his allies. All his decisions are perfectly understandable when you see his actions through the lens of a bought and paid for, easily manipulated, dim witted traitor to his country.

But given plenty of the US population seem perfectly content with the traitor class running their nation and selling them out to their greatest geopolitical rival, there's not really anything the rest of the world can do.

22

u/Tabbyredcat 11h ago

He has to be plotting something for the midterms, because I doubt his plan to stay in power consists exclusively of US Americans being ok with being ruled by a traitor.  Lately he's almost been campaigning for the Democrats.

I don’t think most of them do. I think they’re just in a cult and it’s whatever the consensus is. 99% of the time whatever the leadership says goes. There have been a few instances where even his minions rebel though and so a lot of what he does is testing the water. It’s 1984 all over again. If he turned around and announced we’ve always been at war with Japan there would be 30% of the us nodding their head.

The white American majority who voted for this shit and support him still aren't inconvenienced enough to care. They're more worried about hurting transgender people and keeping Black and Brown Americans brutalized and subjugated, which Trump has done.

Basically, they know Trump is a criminal pedophile Russian asset, but he's hurting the people they've been programmed to hate so they are fine with all of this even if their quality of life goes to hell.

The rest of us are just trying to survive and not get murdered or kidnapped by his secret police.

If the dems lose this election cycle, I will be 100% convinced that the elections are rigged. There’s no way any sort of majority is looking around and going “yeah, I want more of this”.

Trump and his buddies are legit scared running campaign adds. When you read about how trump tried to overturn the other elections (and didnt go to jail) you do get the sense how bad at it they are and how hard it would be on a massive scale.

Thats why they use other methods like throwing away ballots to restrict voting

Russia is currently destroying the facilities of US companies in Ukraine. No complaint from the US. But when UKR destroys Russian data centers: Criticism and ah, yes, the US will join Russian data center projects in the future...

Trump gets most support from Russian bots, it is clear that he supports them in return...

How the fuck did the US just go from Russia's biggest adversary to suddenly being close friends?

ALL BECAUSE of a single change in one president's mind?

I swear after this whole debacle when Trump is finally gone, the whole world better rethink this idea of a democracy model. All the US has done is now proven how stupid and flawed democracy is as a political tool when all is needed is one idiot to destroy an entire country in an instant.

131

u/Groentekroket 11h ago

All the US has done is now proven how stupid and flawed democracy is as a political tool when all is needed is one idiot to destroy an entire country in an instant

The US's implementation of democracy. There is a reason the US is classified as a "flawed democracy". This shit is much less likely to happen in one of the 34 democracies with a higher rank. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Economist_Democracy_Index

20

u/fivetengenius 10h ago

IMO this is the reason after WW2 when democracy was set up in the former axis powers mainly by the US, they went with a parliamentary system. Because they didn’t want to give one person so much power. But it was too late to change our own. And we got kinda lucky up till now that no one really went off the deep end. But here we are.

The US example is what happens when you have a disinterested, uneducated population and no protections against the rich corrupting democracy as they please.

Democracy isn't the problem... unrestrained free for all capitalism is.

The elite took control of the American government a long time ago. This is the result of allowing narcissists and psychopaths to hoard obscene amounts of money and letting them buy politicians.

52

u/Dudedude88 11h ago edited 11h ago

THIS is it. We spend billions and billions on elections. The majority of think tanks and election predictors are made and paid by the Republican party. Theyve been using these models to try to win at all cost.

The amount of $$$$ we waste on elections alone could fund all our schools.

Also our lawmakers spend half their office just to pander for the next election and not write new laws.... Our president is focused on the election right now and not on our people. It is so messed up. The amount of money they are spending on government tax payers money is insane.

They recently found out we used millions of neutral election money to support Republican party. We only found out because trump was trying to put the general election money to his own media platform supporting the Republican party candidates. The corruption is insane....

Jesus Christ... thankfully these projects take so long the current traitors will be out of office and we'll shut all this shit down. So much work to be done. It'll take decades if not life times to undo it all. I'm still sad that far too many Americans still don't see the magnitude of the problem. This has been historic levels of disaster for the U.S and some folks are still shuffling along like it's normal or overblown.

Sometimes I wish I were that ignorant so I too could just relax and not understand what all the fuss is about.

75

u/SonOfLembitOpik 12h ago

“Traitors will be out of office” where do you get your optimism from?

I wouldn’t be surprised if dems did win eventually retake the office and then say “well we don’t look to the past we look to the future” then absolutely hold nobody accountable for the last 2 years.

16

u/Beneficial-Strain366 11h ago

They don't care if they'll no longer be in office. The work will have been done to pipeline the crypto and other assets they've grabbed. The analogy I'm trying to get across isn't that they've got their fingers in everything - it's that they've grown their roots deep into it. They reckon that you're not going to be able to dig them out once they're done. Generational power, let alone wealth. And everyone is letting them do it while we watch the people that were voted in to control it are clutching their pearls as if they're powerless to do anything at all. It's infuriating that the supposed checks and balances are just pretend. All the jobs they were given are just titles and they don't actually fulfil any purpose. Politics is rapidly looking like a Punch & Judy seaside amateur show and the puppeteer can be seen far too obviously with their hands up the ass of the idiots we were offered up to vote for. We need leaders with teeth and nothing to lose to put these actors back in their box. There's no time left. I'm not even just looking at America and Russia as problematic. The whole world is full of leaders that are too comfortable with what they've got. We need more Zelensky's
