Wolverine has 2 costumes because the artist misunderstood which costume i wanted inititally, rip.

Meme is a reference to the one walter white one.

75

u/Deemo3 1d ago

I love this but I'm completely unfamilliar with the Walter White version.

Yeah idk what the deal is there.

But not libtard, which has (part of) an actual slur

Yeah I don't get it

I blame Tiktok

7

u/jldmjenadkjwerl 1d ago

If you switch back and forth really fast, Wolverine looks like he is in a disco.

u/cherrycolashake 1d ago

Scott: Logan can yo-

Logan: Fuck off Slim. I'm a lone wolf. I'm a weapon. I'm my own boss. I do what I want. No one tells me what to do. I am the call of the wild that nature fears-

Kitty/Jubilee/Laura: Logan drive us to the mall and then buy us all ice cream

Logan: right this way girls, you know where my wallet is

119

u/deathrattleshenlong Domino 1d ago

Replace Laura with Armor or Idie and you're on to something. Logan would probably tell Laura ice cream is bad for her and to go to school while slurping a 500ml Haagen-Dasz bucket.

Meanwhile Gambit would slide Laura a couple bills stolen from Logan himself for her to hit the ice cream shop.

44

u/cherrycolashake 1d ago

Early Logan maybe, but Logan and Laura are pretty close now. He'd probably do that to Dakken tho

27

u/RazzDaNinja 1d ago

Depending on the writer, Daken/Akihiro asks his dad for ice cream, and Logan dumps him into a goddamn blizzard then calls it Bonding lmao

5

u/cherrycolashake 1d ago

Based tbh. Daken does not deserve good ice cream

45

u/Bardez 1d ago

The idea of Gambit stealing from Logan to pay for her ice cream is just peak.

8

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Man, i am never huge on the liu run just making gambit into the totally perfect mentor for laura (while sidelining eveyr single prior connection of her) aside but still.

6

u/Solid_Run_2378 1d ago

Ok, but can we have this for real?

It's adorable and I wanna see in on panel ☺️

5

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

That'd be funny too.

121

u/ZweigeltRX 1d ago

I know it’s based on a meme but Logan has definitely argued with Storm before about her orders

68

u/cbekel3618 1d ago

Logan: She just tried to put me in place…Why did I like it?

25

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

Sure they argued but even in this example she won the point.

16

u/Some_Surprise9875 1d ago

Yeah but his hearts not in it. Bro might as well say “yes dear”

33

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Yup, am aware, but admibtely that was the one time, and afterwards it became more of a "lets ride" dynamic. (Which is something i like about their dynamic, it changed, its a big example of the team dynamics shifting overtime with claremont's run)

23

u/TeletraanNone 1d ago

Ummm... Isn't this evidence of the meme being correct? Wolvie literally threw hands at Cyke over this. Says so IN the panel. But sheathes it and moves on for Storm.

40

u/ZweigeltRX 1d ago

Scott has done the same before with less effort. Even got an apology out of it!

15

u/GONKworshipper 1d ago

The other notable thing is that this is Storm's literal first issue as leader

4

u/meetmeinthelibrary7 Nightcrawler 1d ago

Immediately thought of this page when I saw the post lmao. As someone else said, I feel like this proves the meme correct of anything.

9

u/happilyevil321 1d ago

Question, because I havent read xmen cómics in a long time. Does Storm still speak as if she was written by Shakespeare?

15

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago

Yeah

11

u/happilyevil321 1d ago

Oh good. Is one of the things I love about her. Her dialogue and thoughts are like poetry

81

u/MapDesperate7012 1d ago

Wasn’t there a time where Logan did try his whole “I don’t take orders” thing with Storm and she shut him down immediately or something? Because I feel like that’s the reason why he follows her over Scott.

31

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Yup.

2

u/nickbelane 15h ago

Just like me with my wife.

-33

u/Sans_Seriphim 1d ago

She has much bigger balls than Wimpclops.

49

u/ZweigeltRX 1d ago

Cyclops has never been afraid of putting Wolverine in his place.

9

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

That was before the writers fell in love with Wolverine.

31

u/hoennian 1d ago

Cyclops slander won't be tolerated

-7

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

It's not slander. Cyclops is always forced to just take insults and abuse because writers hate him, while Storm is their golden girl that cannot have her ego hurt in any way.

17

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago

Well, no. Wolverine is fond of Storm while he hates Cyclops. Wouldn’t you be more willing to follow orders from a friend/companion than someone you hate?

-2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Of course you would, that's my point. Everyone loves Storm and hates Cyclops. He's the abuse goblin and she's the golden child.

15

u/purple-tulip-petals Jean Grey 1d ago

As a huge fan of Scott’s, I feel like on some level he allows this. He has a habit of setting himself up as the sacrificial lamb and being the guy nobody likes so that other people don’t have to be in that position. It’s been that way since the ‘60s. He makes the hard calls and keeps everybody in line despite how they treat him because he would rather they all be alive and hating his guts than friends with him and dead. In his eyes, he doesn’t matter, only the mission does and if anybody’s going to have a target on their backs he would rather it be him than anyone else.

Now, that may not be a particularly healthy attitude, and the fact that he was pretty much groomed by Chuck to see himself that way and his self-esteem has always been through the floor is kind of concerning from a psychological standpoint (which the DNX event seems to finally be addressing), but he’s not a helpless victim. He’s very aware of the role he plays and willingly puts himself in it, and even if they might butt heads with him and overlook his sacrifices, I’d say the team is well aware of how much he does and what it costs him to do it.

-8

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Not really, 99% of the humiliation happens when he explicitly wants everyone to just behave for ten seconds and/or do what he says.

It's not an in character thing. He's just....well, the abuse goblin who exists to be humiliated by Storm or Logan or Jean or whoever needs to be glazed this week.

7

u/purple-tulip-petals Jean Grey 1d ago edited 1d ago

I just don’t see that as being the case. Sure, there’s a lot of him getting frustrated with their shenanigans or being the “I will turn this car around” guy, but I can point to multiple events and storylines that didn’t go so great for him specifically and only because he allowed himself to take the heat from everyone else so that things got done and people didn’t die. The entire Revolutionary era, he pretty much says that’s exactly what he’s doing, letting his friends and the world see him as the bad guy so that he can do what needs doing and they won’t have to. One of his best stories ever is AvX Consequences, and he spends the first half of that letting Logan and a bunch of government stooges kick him around like a football because he would rather they focus on doing that than accidentally interfere with the other plans he’s already set in motion (which are badass). Even Emma’s facsimile of him in Death of X entirely centers on him being the one to take the fall for everyone else so that they don’t have to. It’s very much a conscious choice and strategy on his part because he considers himself the person who can best take it.

And I don’t see that as weakness or wimpiness on his part either. On the contrary I think it takes far more strength to quietly put everyone else before yourself and be willing to suffer or look like a loser so they don’t have to than it does to be yet another “I’m the big tough in-charge guy, don’t ever disrespect me, I’m so awesome, raaargh” kind of leader. There are plenty of tough guys who always look awesome and never take Ls running around, and yet most of them would never make it anywhere near a list of great leaders. Scott by contrast would be close to the top of that list, and his ability to not care how much of a loser he looks like as long as his people are safe and the right thing gets done is a huge part of why.

-5

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

I mean, weak people have to take abuse whether they like it or not. Strong people really can tell you to obey them or suffer.

Scott's never, ever been in a position in his entire life where others have to obey him. Not once in his entire career. Logan is weaker than him and still cucks or beats him up with impunity.

Writers just plain hate him.

No! Scott needs to be cuddled!

-3

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Better to be feared. X-Men have zero problems betraying those they love.

-1

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago

That’s why Storm should permanently leave the team

1

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Doesn't matter. Not anymore.

-17

u/JBR_4025 1d ago

Also Cyclops has the misfortune of being surrounded by more interesting people and he's also a massive dick

3

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Oh, he's a titanic dick. No doubt about that.

But compared to his teammates, the ones who are always depicted giving him lectures?

-8

u/JBR_4025 1d ago

He does have a point at times. But he’s not blameless too.

I’m pretty sure that he really wants to become a villain and destroy everything but has to restrain himself because he knows that if he ever does that either Sinister will appear with a harem of Jean Grey clones (and at least a couple of Logan clones too) and invite him to join his evil club of evil or everyone will try to cut his head off his body

-1

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

He's really tried, but he's too weak and is utterly hated by the writers, so it usually ends with a quick and humiliating defeat.

55

u/JagPeror 1d ago

Maybe Scott should have been a beautiful woman if he wanted Wolverine to listen

9

Right? That's just foreplay for them.

20

u/sunflowering Storm 1d ago

I had a compilation post somewhere of times Storm has been like "Logan, no." to him and he just listens lol. It's great, he really does listen when she tells him what to do!

1

u/T-o-C-A 20h ago

Would be fun to see.

3

u/sunflowering Storm 20h ago

"Logan, no." is an ancient Ororo proverb!

27

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago edited 1d ago

Lol at anyone who thinks this is an insult to Cyclops. Wolverine has a well established rivalry with Cyclops while he has been fond of Storm for decades.

A man is more likely to listen to his friend/companion than a dude that he sees as a rival. That’s not radical or even Storm glazing because it’s the nature of their relationship rather than just her leadership skills that makes him likely to follow her orders.

6

u/Adventurous-Map-259 1d ago

We gotta stop calling everying glaze.

8

u/MarshmallowsInMaui 1d ago

You're the best man. Love everything you do. Thanks for everything.

-6

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Bruh, literal definition of glaze that Storm’s loved and respected by people who dunk on Scott.

2

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago edited 1d ago

Wolverine is obsessed with Scott’s wife half the time and Storm is one of Wolverine’s best friends. Why in the world would he treat them the same way? That makes no sense. This is like saying the writers are biased because Storm is nicer to Jean than Emma.

People provide an example of a character that likes Storm more than Cyclops for no reason.

1

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 21h ago

And why did writers make Logan a bull from some netorare story instead of a friend?

34

u/cbekel3618 1d ago

You know the “A Black woman is talking: listen and learn” meme? Someone needs to do a Wolverine version, lol

9

u/NEVERTHEREFOREVER 1d ago

Tbf if fucking Storm asked me to do something, I wouldnt even think before doing it

2

u/lOneAngel-0 Omega Red 1d ago

I never understood that meme, what it means?

4

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago

You know how when you’re attracted to someone, you got out of your way to charm them?

The joke is that the guy wearing the shirt is overzealously trying to prove to a black woman he has a crush on that he admires and respects her.

8

u/KuroiGetsuga55 11h ago

Tbf I'd bark when Storm tells me to too.

13

u/Jermobooka Wolverine 1d ago

Probably the most succinct way to explain the dynamic between Wolverine and the two main X-Men leaders lol

5

u/Better_Can_615 19h ago

I always laugh at these dynamics because it’s so funny. Storm will tell Wolverine to do something and he might put up a small fight every now and then but most of the he just listens with a problem. But when Cyclops says the same thing, he throws a fit. It’s always been one of my favorite things about their relationships

16

u/Ijustlovevideogames 1d ago

Let's be real here, if a baddie on Storm's level told you to do something, most of yall would do it too.

24

u/Frankengeek 1d ago

Cyclops:"Logan, do you hate me?"

Wolverine:"Nah bud, I love you like a brother"

Cyclops:"If that is the case, why you always give me shit?"

Wolverine:"Scott, what you do everytime Havoc gets a new haircut"

Cyclops:"I found the most unflattering thing I can compare it...OOOOOOOHH"

8

u/Solid_Run_2378 1d ago

This is now canon to my #BullyAlexAgenda.

Thank you 😊

4

Even in a family that includes Adam-X, Havoc remains the worst one.

1

I don't hate him, per se, but as an eldest sibling I get frustrated with him. Also, "Call me Alex" can not be forgiven.

2

Wolverine: I love you like a brother

Cyclops: didn't your brother travel through time to try to kill you?

Wolverine: didn't your brother fuck your wife?

7

u/RazAlterWinner2 1d ago

In all fairness, doesn’t matter who you are. When Ororo tells you to do something, you do it

9

u/WetWype 1d ago

I don’t think it’s mostly a leadership issue with cyclops. There maybe a different reason he’s so pissy with Scott
https://giphy.com/gifs/5VnZVDBHTZTWFJxQzi

2

Why? jean is the salt of women, the most basic person in the entire of the xmen history.

Well,  in this example,  one is asking him to do something he wants to do.

And also has sex with him.

It shouldn't be confusing why that one wins.

4

A good leader makes people do what they already wanted to do, a bad leader tries to change them (i made that up)

4

0

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah, Storm gets glazed from everyone while Scott is the X-Men's abuse goblin. That isn't news.

Edit: Really? Down votes?

11

u/purple-tulip-petals Jean Grey 1d ago

I feel like this is just a consequence of their two leadership styles rather than any actual favoritism towards one or the other. When Storm leads, she does it by being a powerful, awe-inspiring figure that makes you go “wow” and not even entertain the idea of ever crossing her. So yeah, people praise her and look up to her more because that’s just how she does things. She’s also a lot easier to get along with as a person than Scott.

Scott on the other hand doesn’t really do it that way. He’s more the “when the chips are down” kind of leader who grits his teeth and does the hard stuff no matter who thinks what about it and never really seeks out acknowledgement or credit because all he cares about is the mission getting done and people not dying. So it’s a lot easier for people to lash out at him for making the messy choices or chafe at his personality, but I think deep down they’re all well aware of how valuable he is. There’s a reason why, whenever things have gotten really bad, it’s usually Scott who everybody turns to and “take Cyclops off the board” is priority no. 1 for any villain who wants to not fail immediately. He can’t inspire like Storm does but they all know he can get them out of a jam. I think they’re both clearly appreciated by the others, it’s just that one gets more open appreciation and the other is more appreciated via everybody just knowing who you get to lead when things have gone south.

14

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Huh?? This is more so about how the dynamic shifted during that time. Just think its funny

Scott gets glazed a lot, since the 00s he's arguably been the most glazed x-man ngl.

-2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Bruh, Storm literally became a cosmic goddess a while ago.

It's more that Storm glazing, omnipresent as it may be, just doesn't get as much attention as Cyclops just facing and overcoming abuse.

4

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Power glank and leadership wank are two very different things haha. Storm hasnt actually lead an x-men team since 2017 ngl. While cyclops has continiously while being framed consitntely as THE leader of the team since 2003.

-2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Are we talking "number of years as leader" or "glaze"? Because Cyclops gets abused even more when he's leader while Storm keeps changing teams to get glazed by everyone.

2

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

I mean, this is an image showing storm as leader, her glaze as leader is the relevant thing.

Though i also dont quite see it, i can see the argument that since the start of krakoa cyclops's gotten less glaze, but he got a ton in the 2000s and the first half of the 2010s

2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

You mean the "everyone hates Cyclops" era? That is your standard for glaze?

And yeah, the point is that Storm gets glazed as leader, and duh she does. She just also gets glazed when she isn't leading. Or doing anything.

3

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Ehhh, during the bendis era he was divisve but the book itself made him cool still. After his death sure, but you still had A cyclops tbh.

Again, really hasnt been leader in forever, atp its just words imo.

2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Bro, we're not talking about how long they've been leader. Just about glaze.

1

u/T-o-C-A 1d ago

Yes, and cyclops got some top tier glaze during the 00s ngl.

→ More replies (0)

8

u/Owari_Shi 1d ago

It's not like this

Wolverine and Scott's dynamic is pretty much like that, they don't see eye to eye most of the time but they still have each other's backs and all that

You'll especially realize this if you read the comics LOL

So no disrespect to either character in this post imo

1

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Bro, Storm literally became leader by curb stomping Cyclops in a duel without even using her powers. And very recently became a literal goddess. In between becoming Queen of Wakanda, having Doom simp for her, beating Vulcan's ass etc etc.

Her glaze is higher than Logan's. At least Logan still gets solid Ls against people not named Scott Summers.

7

u/Own-Quote-1708 1d ago

Quite literally the opposite in this subreddit. Cyclops and Spidey fans have such victim complexes.

5

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Dude, you're literally commenting that under a meme about Storm being more authoritative than Cyclops and Wolverine. Have some self awareness.

3

u/Own-Quote-1708 1d ago

Weve just had a lot of hate posts about Storm these past few days in this sub. Cant say Ive ever seen a Cyclops hate post on reddit, let alone this sub (which isnt a meme).

7

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

That's because all Cyclops haters can just enjoy the official stories while Storm haters can only get down voted on social media while she gets yet another glaze series.

4

u/Own-Quote-1708 1d ago

So you're just jealous of Storm. Cool

6

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Who wouldn't be jealous of a character that the writers simp for? I damn near wish my life's writers loved me like that, lol.

1

u/harmoniaatlast 1d ago

See but this isn't true anywhere outside the cartoons and movies

5

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

you mean outside the media that has the widest audience?

2

u/Plus_Claim_8938 1d ago

Storm gets glazed as a leader in what outside comic project? The last time she was relevant was the 90s animated series.

2

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

Again my point wasn't about who is a better leader in or outside of comics. My point was "it comes off as elitist and gatekeepy to just dismiss the media that has the lowest barrier to entry and the widest audience." Although I think an argument can be made that Wolverine specifically respects Storm more than he respects Scott at least outside of comics.

1

u/harmoniaatlast 1d ago

Games and comics are also a thing. The cartoon part doesn't track to the current cartoon either actually as far as Scott is treated.

1

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

I am not arguing the point about Scott's characterization. I don't particularly care about him. My point is it comes off as elitist and gatekeepy to just dismiss the media that has the lowest barrier to entry and the widest audience.

1

u/harmoniaatlast 1d ago

Eh, I think this dynamic is more about consumer laziness. Anyone can type "marvel comic" into their app store and download whatever app (probably Marvel Unlimited) and sign in with Disney plus and boom, comics.

If they don't wish to spend any money, there are AMAZING options that require even less effort than Marvel Unlimited.

Now does editorial/marketing make it easy for people to get into reading comics in general? Not really, but someone could always ask here, ask google, ask YouTube, ask Facebook, ask a friend, ask someone at a comicbook store, ask grandma, etc.

Movies are sooooooo expensive and take goddamn forever. If people want more X-Men, I shall point them to that more even if it means comics. This is not me saying comics are the end all be all, but they're worth encouraging people into

1

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

Sure comics are always an option but they are harder to read then say a book. It is a challenge to find all the right books in the right order for a given event. Even Marvel Unlimited doesn't always help I remember Hox/Pox was a nightmare to read. I shouldn't need to an internet deep dive to read the story. They are written by multiple authors who may or may not know cannon. They often contain contradictions and mischaracterizations. Sometimes the art is distractingly bad. I listened to at least 250 episodes of Jay and Myles X-plain the X-Men probably more. I know and love X-Men but I often wish the stories were more coherent and linear.

0

u/Aspiegirl712 Wolverine 1d ago

I get that comics are the source material, I just hate it when people dismiss the media that resulted in an x-men resurgence and the media that introduced them to a whole new generation.

0

u/harmoniaatlast 1d ago

Even people who've only seen the movies perceived them as generally garbage (with key exceptions). People should read more in general but if they enjoy X-Men, they should read X-Men.

2

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 1d ago

Bro, cartoons and movies are the only place Cyclops does get more authority than Storm. It's Wolverine who gets glazed in those two, so Cyclops still loses, but not to Storm.

1

u/UpbeatDurian7628 1d ago

Logan Scott and Jean literally had connected rooms on Krakoa because they're that close. Logan just likes to bust his balls. The second Cyc gives a genuine order Logan will not question it.

0

u/Aggravating-Fun-2405 21h ago

Exactly. Scott can't even keep his wife.

1

u/Solid_Run_2378 9h ago

He kept her and got a boyfriend too!

-5

Well one's a solidier that in Logan's mind he outranks. And the other is Storm who's put him in his place more than once. And a Goddess.
