I am about to finish ZA 6 graphic audio and clearly ZA-7,8,9 graphic audio are not in the near future.

Should i just STFU and go back to regular audiobook? Or read read them?

I went into this series knowing it was a dumpster fire everyone loves. It’s like a telenovella on paper. Trash reading if you will. And I ATE. IT. UP. initially. Now I’m on book 8 and I cannot find the will to keep going. WHY is it so boring? Why does it seem like every chapter is excessively long with nothing happening? It’s getting to the point I’m rooting for Lionel to end my damn misery too. How many times can the good guys” lose before enough is enough? I mean seriously, these people never have a win! I also started with the graphic audios had to switch to regular and that may be part of my problem. Someone please give me some encouragement. Please say it gets better.

Okay does anyone else feel like it was totally unnecessary to add in the >imperial star being this being that had fallen and is now the bad guy we are focusing on? It feels like it is just dragging this book out more when we've all just been waiting for Lionel to die. We are nine books in ma'am can we just fucking kill Lionel. Damn.

I just finished DP and I’m annoyed 🤨. Spoilers for ZA and DP!!!! And technically RB?
I’m so annoyed with the fact that I feel like each series just drops off at the end. For ZA, we never saw Seth get his closure after almost his entire pack got wiped out and seeing his family as stone warriors or telling Caleb about losing his entire family. We never saw what happened to the Spares (the Heirs younger siblings). They just never got mentioned. Beside Xavier(?) I think.
With DP, we didn’t see Roary speak to his group about his new double power, so we didn’t see their reaction. We didn’t see his mothers reaction and much less his fathers after he literally said he was about to tell his dad. Cain never got his moon mark just the curse mark but technically that’s still not a moon mark. Then Sin got a mark tattooed which then becomes a real mark, isn’t that technically cheating??? Why couldn’t they all get their thing like with RB? It just all times skips years into the future. I also wonder what Geraldine thinks about her new brother in law.
Also if DP is AFTER RB and ZA, why wouldn’t Dante and Leon’s family be more involved, and why couldn’t names be mentioned if you should know who is who by then aka Leon’s/Dantes wife and “Carson”. Ryder would’ve been perfect for the prison break help.
If the Christmas book don’t continue with ALL of the knowledge we got from all of these series, Ima be annoyed. At least call their wife by her name and not just “wife”.

Man, the Heirs are even greater a$sholes that I remember.
So far I've heard chapters from Darius, Caleb and Orion's POV. These haven't changed my mind at all. Yes, yes, they are all being pressured by the Lionel little diick, but still.

I’ve already DNF’d the series because I just couldn’t anymore. I’ve had all major plot points spoiled for me (on request) which has satisfied my need to know what happens, but I am lowkey dying to read the spicy scenes between Caleb and Seth 👀 anyone know where I could do that pls? Just clips I don’t need full chapters !!

I am 800 pages in and i feel like nothing of note has happened at all, it feels like such a filler book

When i started ZA i loved how fast paced it was, it was one of the things that drew me in... book 6 was a tough read because at lots of time it was stretched out but book 7.. i am dying here.. 800 pages in and nothing of note has happened... it is soooooooo drawn out... i am skimming through so much right now.

I’m about 50% into the 2nd book of Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac. I’m enjoying it, but it’s a little too soap-opera for my taste. A little too much internal dialogue and drama, not enough action and story progression. I plan on reading all 5 but I do these via audiobook while I’m working on projects, and they are not readily available except through Audible. They are not on any of my Libby or Hoopla accounts, and are also not in Spotify.

Since I don’t want to spend $20+ per book and will wait for my monthly Audible credits, I think I’m going to go ahead and move back to reading Zodiac Academy in the meantime. (I was trying to follow the recommended reading order.)

What lore from RB should I know before going back into Zodiac Academy? Will I be missing huge bits of info by not getting through all 5 books first? Because so far it’s not very lore heavy at all. Spoilers are fine! And thanks for your help!

UPDATE: Thanks for all the answers. Some people helped me figure out that if I download the kindle unlimited book it reduces the Audible price to around $5. Problem solved! Crazy that Audible doesn’t automatically know I have KU and I have to add a $0 book to my library for it to work.

I’m listening through Zodiac Academy right now and I’m on Book 6, and I genuinely can’t anymore. I’ve sat through A LOT in these books, but I swear this is my limit 💀 It’s not even just secondhand embarrassment, I’m cringing so hard while also laughing because WHAT the F IS HAPPENING?????😭

I dont know if this was ever discussed here but what race are the girls? I dont mean or they human or fae. I know they fae but i mean racial race. Like in book 1 Diego first meeting them thought they latina but if i remember right Darcy say they not. Then in my personal opinion it feels like they slowly move from being less like Latinas to just white girls.

Like to me i like to head cannon that the Hail was Mexican and Merissa was white. I mean Gabriel is white from what i remember in RBoZ and half of his fancast. So i just imagine the girls being mix with Gabriel being a full blown white boy(iykyk dont want to spoil his story). So i just imagine the girls and Hail (if he was still alive) speaking st8 fast Spanish as Merissa and Gabriel try to understand them. I do believe they would learn but with Hail, Merissa and Gabriel talking in Solarian Mexican accent would be hard for Tory and Darcy speaking American Mexican accent.

Yes i know its sounds the same but i like to believe they would sound different from each other so the world building seems more put together. 😭 im sorry i love these books but most of the world building reminds of Harry Potter aka the dont look at it to hard or else it falls apart.

Edit: i see how i got confused. But in my defense i only listen up to the audio books with the graphics audios till 3 and started reading the books. And why i thought Gabriel was white because half of the pics i see ppl use of him is that white guy with tattoos. And the reasons i believe Merissa was white because i didnt hear the audio books giving her an accent. In my head i seen it being Hail with the Mexican/Latin accent. Plz forgive me 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️🙇‍♂️

I honestly thought that it was going to be longer than it was seeing as there was like 100+ chapters as well as the 4 added of their other book series - Never Keep. I don't know what to do now that I don't have Seth's funny chapters to look forward too! My favorite characters by the end of the series were, Lance and Seth. (I also enjoyed the chapters with Leon - maybe I'm just a sucker for funny characters, I don't feel like I've seen it enough in the books I read.) Who were your favorite characters by the end of the series?

I’m reading the Ruthless Boys prequel and I’m on book four. I loved Elise until now. She is so selfish now that the other three kings are sad about her being mated to Leon. (Ik she ends up with all of them) but she just keeps forcing herself on them and not letting them mourn in their own way. She wants to have her cake and eat it too without caring how they feel rn.

Is anyone else going to actually wait till December to read the book advent calendar style? I'm curious. It sound so much fun to do it that way.

I’m currently reading the tandem read and I am just a little burnt out on the series. Don’t get me wrong it has absolutely destroyed me, but there is just so much going on that I just feel like we will never see the light at the end of the tunnel. I 100% plan on finishing the ZA series thought I did the reading order with RB & Novellas in between. I’m just wondering if I pause and read a different series can I come back to DP or is it really important enough to just finish it through.

I’m also a huge fourth wing & ACOTAR fan and I really want to reread both of those series with their new books that just came out.

Hey everyone, I know that I am not even close to the first person to post something like this on here, but I am desperate! I somehow managed to start this book series a few weeks ago completely blind, without any knowledge surrounding its emotional trauma throughout the books series, (despite being a massive reader and a book talk girly) particularly the pain at the end of book 4, and going into book 5. I just read the end of book 4 two hours ago and I think I’m still crying. Immediately jumped into book 5, hoping for a break from the pain only to find out after reading for a while and a few spoiler free Google searches that this book is not gonna be any better. I’m about a third of the way into it because I just can’t seem to put it down cause I keep hoping things will get better. but I’m really struggling. I love this series. I’ve been totally obsessed with it for the last few weeks, but I’m struggling to get through this book. Any advice would be appreciated as I know you’ve all felt the same pain and us readers have to stick together.😊📕📚

How? The savage King was King, in a long succession of familial kings and Queens, when he was killed right? And Vega twins were born and alive...somewhere. They are a year or two younger, right? So.... how is it his birth right, when he was born under the rule of the reigning King. And there was no conversation of the council ruling over anything until after the King was gone, right? Or am I confused about something?

Clara is the perfect example. Almost everything we learn about Clara comes through Darcy’s POV. Darcy is the one talking to her, asking questions, and trying to understand what happened to her. In Book 4, so much of Darcy’s POV is dedicated to bringing Clara back from the shadows — and she actually does it.
But when Clara becomes important?
*it becomes Tory’s storyline.

Another example is diego and his family

We learn almost everything about that storyline from Darcy’s POV but guess who had the more important stuff about them? Tory!

Tory is the one who went with Miguel someone we only know from Darcy’s POV and yet Tory is the one who went with him to the nymphs. Diego’s uncle is a character only talked about in Darcy’s POV and yet who had the more significant
Moment with him? Tory. Its really annoying
