Went to the CPZ for the first time. It was incredible!! The penguin exhibit was my favorite!

You spy any Jungle Fowl with the tropical birds?

We did! We saw the victoria crowned pigeon, some scarlet ibis, and plenty of others!

I think they were asking specifically about the Sri Lankan Junglefowl (Gallus lafayettii), which Central Park Zoo used to keep prior to their last one dying a few years ago. Bronx continued to keep the species until earlier this year, but now it seems to be completely gone from the United States.

I had a really great time when I went! Its pretty small but I liked some of their exhibits better than their counter parts in the Bronx. I have the WCS membership but even if I didnt I would absolutely go again if I was in the area with some time to spend.

The aviary at the CPZ is one of my favorite exhibits in the entire WCS system. I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
