I thought this would be another problem with 2k but in actuality, past all all the hype, these GOAT builds are boring. The builds have obvious flaws you can easily exploit as a defender, every rec game there’s a random goat build that the users dont know how to use. Even with cap breakers you dont get new animations. People love mycareer for the fun of creating your own build, give it about a week before people toss these builds, i feel bad for the dudes than ran to spend their money.

(Lockdown perspective) I’ve been playing 2k since 2k9 “unc” and when I tell you it’s the same bullshit no diversity and now everyone is rhythm shooting all of a sudden this should be ILLEGAL what 2k does with this game and I believe it’s on purpose they make different metas to make you spend money according to the meta then they completely change it and never fix or balance the game it happens every year! You can’t even fight against cheaters cause there’s 0 DEFENSE IN THE GAME anymore! I have a 97 perimeter and baby get a CONTEST! 😂😂

So now any dude who has no idea how to play the game can run and make hop jumpers greening everything including contested shots (or contested shots that appear as “semi open”) and we basically playing a nba mobile version on console/pc ? 😂
The game at launch was good , instead of minor adjustments to ghost contests or bump steals (with no steal attribute) they just took away defense from the game. That’s insane

This game was always pay for play in a way but now…they’ve gone too far by stripping badges away by seasons. I regret deleting 2k26 from my console. This model is just bad and a very greedy move by 2k developers. I love 2k but this is just getting bad. Hopefully they’ll have a change of heart for next years game when they see the decline in playing time by their loyal fan base. At this point, i’m waiting for the new Modern Warfare and GTA to drop. I can’t play this shit anymore man..

93 swb and 93 post control at 6’9 is insane. DD capped at 86 is more than serviceable. You can actually play like Magic and feast inside on the opposing PG until people start helping and then it’s bombs away. I’ve had a few times where I passed the ball so fast to a cutter that it seemed like the ball teleported to my teammate. The defense is solid, agility can be low sometimes but as I’m learning to move around as a 6’9 perimeter defender, I’m getting better every game.

70 3 ball (75 with cap breakers) can be rough but open shots are 100% makeable if you put in the time to learn the release.

This build has a learning curve but it’s probably the most fun I’ve had on this game so far

I know it’s nasty on paper but before I actually make it what’s the real life opinions on it? Did you make it? Did you play against it? My concerns are the 60 strength and also the actual ability to have enough tokens and spots to utilize the insane defense

support beams for a roof that we can’t even see taking up almost the entire screen when driving to the right in the theater on drive cam. can we do something about this 2k???

This is beyond overhyped

This was Gold by the way. A half time score of 18-20 may have been the lowest Gold half time score Ive ever seen. I keep seeing higher shooting percentages and scores since the new patch started on this sub, but this isn't that far off from a lot of games Im seeing.

Tip- If youre in Gold or below and down by a lot and one of your teammates keep missing...just talk shit to them after their next mistake. They'll leave and you'll suddenly have a much better teammate.

I love versing 3 corner sitting kawhi leonard builds every game this is officially my last day on 2k thank you enjoy the game now sht 14 year olds that just swipe their moms credit card. Ill wait for the game they inevitably put out in a couple years when the player base is dead and they apologize for all the bs microtransactions like every other company.

Edit: whats funny is 2k ruined all their next releases doing this sht. Next game noone is going to make multiple mycareer builds everyone will just wait for the goat builds so really the idiots just shot themselves in the foot. Why can’t 2k give us new and creative events? Am I crazy for thinking this should be somewhat a priority for the company? The only time I see anything new is when the event has a specific sponsor and even then it’s usually insignificant for real. They don’t even learn from their events and adjust them. It’s just the same old shit year after year

I have so many clips like this like many many clips, this happens consistently or animations like it… so let me give some context my build is 7’4 with a 7’9 wingspan, I have my close shot 90 and my driving layup 80, and my layups badges are all +1, im just trying to chill and grind the level 9 challenge for the finishing specialization thats all im doing, and players with clearly low interior which it shows on the graph loading in are blocking me constantly like im a toddler trying to score on an adult at a mini hoop. Now im sure people will defend this but how is it so easy for these smaller players with low interior and block to do this to a player that’s 7’4 with high layup badges, this is genuinely getting ridiculous… I want 2k to bring in wemby for a day and have someone that’s like 6’6 try to stop him from laying the ball up and just see what the results are that’s all I ask.

92 Perimeter, gold seatbelt, gold challenger, 75 strength, just for a little baby guard to dance behind a screen before hitting a contested shot in my face.

I don’t care about the offense being OP, just give defense the tools to limit it. Theres no reason a ball handler should be able to stop, go, and switch directions at the drop of a hat while you need to decelerate and plant your feet before switching directions on defense. Why are we made to feel like we are wearing ice skates on defense

Ive got 2 6’4s in the builder and this is the final decision I’m torn on.

It comes down to 96 driving dunk and the Elite Contact Dunks Off Two? Or go 93 driving dunk and pick up Gold Limitless Range and Gold Mini Marksman? What would y’all do?

patch 2.0 (with all steal nerf , shooting buff etc) just hit pc yesterday , and i swear today i cant hit a 3 for shit on my center with 86 3pt ball.

It's like the timing of my jumpshot changed , idk how to explain but i cant hit a 3 with rythm to save my life

Tried to re-make the Gilbert Arenas Hibachi one and this is what compares points wise in the builder.

It’s not even close. It is such a large difference in builder points idk how you justify this other than a cash grab. Makes me feel like my previous builds are unplayable.

I thought this would be slight upgrades to builder points not over 100 points of a difference!! Idk what to do with this man. It shouldn’t be this big of a difference.

I'm a huge Anthony Davis fan cause he's such an amazing versatile defender but a huge part of his game is his crazy wingspan how could 2k mess this up. I looked at the draft measurements and AD is literally taller and has longer arms then Dwight Howard and he also has a 7'6 wingspan when you check on the Wizards roster. I thought the builds were supposed to surpass the wingspan limits but why make it worse by 4 inches.
