Discussion AFTER this revealed people started to REALIZE that naruto's story didn't get the CLOSUR that it deserved .

Finally people woke up from the last genjutsu and realized that we really didn't get the ending we deserved , I mean after a 15 years of airing ,people literally grew up with it , grew up with the story , with the characters , we spend 15 years following naruto in his journey to become hokage , the dream we heard in the biggening of the story and with time it became our dream too , after all those arcs and battels and moments , kishimoto decided to end it with naruto giving sasuke his head band which was really an important scene but that wasn't the whole point of the story thou !! . we didn't start the story with naruto wanting to get sasuke back to end the story with it ! , getting sasuke back was this important side mission that the MC believed he needs to do to achieve his goals , so for me ending the story with it is just laziness from kishi and he lowkey rushed to end the story for god knows what reasons .

and then the studio wanted some money so they created a romance movie where they fucked the MC to satisfies some shippers and then end the whole story of ninjas and battles and dreams with a marriage arc that literally has a 0 development in the entire story , I don't remembre my self in any part of the story me saying " I can't wait for naruto when he's going to marry hinata" , matter of fact maybe the one who literally naruto was wanting to be with from the begging of the story is sakura but the authors decided against so whatever .... and overall the ending of naruto was sasuke's back and then an arc for hinata's fans and then boruto happened ... whhat about naruto thou ?? where is his hokage dream ? where's the episodes that everyone was waiting for where naruto just walking and getting the acknowledge he worked for? what about the other characters : Lee , shikamaru , ino ... and all the others that we grew up watching ?

and now after over 10 years kishi woke up and decided to continue what he left empty ... I am sorry my honest reaction to that manga was literally " about fucking time ... should we clap for that ? ".

So what do u think about this decision from kishi ?

Question I dont understand why people question the Boruto hate Spoiler

The Boruto hate (the criticism) is 100% justified and i dont understand why people come into this sub and ask "Explain the Boruto hate for me"

Boruto is literally what the Star Wars fandom was so scared of when Disney took over the Star Wars franchise.

Ikemoto became the mangaka of Boruto after Kishimoto founded the base for it with the scarlet spring and ohh boi. This guy had ZERO respect for the universe. He didnt even try to stay true to Kishimotos work and what the fandom has loved so much. He made it his own thing with his own style. Completely different characters throwing 90% of the old cast in the trash and completely different artstyle.

Like dude what do you expect? For many, including me, Boruto feels fanmade.

And besides that Boruto isnt on the same level as Naruto. Like it's not even close.

Discussion Jiraiya being a terrible man makes him one of the most interesting and underrated characters in the series

Their last time seeing each other, Jiraiya sexually harasses Tsunade. Full line:

“The flat-chested Tsunade has become the big-bosomed Hokage! Times are changing. You were beautiful back then… Now you’re a fifty-something year-old granny. It pains me to see how all the memories of your lost friends and loved ones are stored in that big breast of yours.”

Don’t get me wrong, I know Jiraiya is well-loved, but I don’t think it’s for the right reasons. Like Asuma, the impact of Jiraiya’s character lies greatly in his death and in how much Naruto loved him. He’s also undeniably a great hero… Strong, cool, offers comedic relief, and extremely significant to the story. I think that’s why most people love him.

Now, I wouldn’t say I love him, but I do think he’s underrated in the way that his character is loved for the wrong reasons. Namely, despite being a great hero, he’s genuinely, downright bad. He’s a bad person. It’s actually incredibly sinister how perverted he is. And that’s usually what people say to take away from his character, or what people ignore if they’re huge fans of his. I think it’s the reason why he’s so interesting, though, and establishes a really important theme in the story that heroism is in the eye of the beholder, so to speak. People usually acknowledge characters like Pain and Itachi, who are antagonists, as best representing this theme, but what about Jiraiya?

I referenced this scene because it’s what made me really understand and love his character upon rewatching. I was dumbfounded and very confused by Tsunade’s reaction - why was she not hitting him? And she looks so shocked, but she doesn’t reply at all when he makes those comments (he later asks her out). It’s definitely mostly because she had an inkling that this would be the last she hears from him, but it’s also a really great representation of what’s so great about his character through their dynamic. Tsunade loves him and she doesn’t want to lose him, and yet one of the last things he says to her is rude and objectifying!

Curious what other people think.

Analysis Man, Madara sure had a lot of asspulls, part 1: The Edo Tensei

Thumbnail

Sasori:

Shin:

Hanzo:

Itachi:

Hashirama:

Wow, Its almost like there's... a theme here! Like its possible for a person to take back control. A fuck you to the caster. What's the ultimate way someone can say "fuck you, you cant control me anymore"? Thats right, by taking control of yourself, as your own summon.

Kabuto: This jutsu is perfect, there are no weaknesses. This jutsu has no risks to the caster. Blah blah

Itachi: Every jutsu has a weakness.

Kabuto:No, it really doesnt.

Itachi: sigh

And hey, what do you know, it really does have a weakness. And a severe one too. Its almost like the story was building up the so-called perfect edo tensei, only to tear it down.

So no, this is not as asspull. At all. It foreshadowed many times before Madara resummoned himself.

Question Were Obito and Kakashi failed Indra and Asura incarnations?

Thumbnail

Like hear me out:

In the Valley Of The End, Hashirama "killed" Madara which ended their roles as Incarnations, but Madara remain alive.

But the same happened to Obito and Kakashi, Obito "died" but remained alive and went on a villain arc like Madara, and that "death" scene was the end of their incarnation roles.

So it would be like - Indra + Ashura then Madara + Hashirama then Obito + Kakashi then Sasuke + Naruto.

What do y'all think?

Question Is it a hot take that I say making Madara behind Rin's death ruins the impact of Obito's tragedy?

Post image
5 Upvotes

When this twist was revealed I groaned. The whole point of Obito's turn to darkness was that Obito knew the Shinobi system is flawed, he was treated like a black sheep both by the Uchiha clan and the village and Rin was the only one that has ever shows him kindness before joining team Minato. Rin's death was the emotional trigger that broke him on his view of reality and make him open his eyes on how cruel and harsh reality is for her to die as a tool of war by the Mist. Making Madara being behind her death is such a cheap way to make him seem like a master puppet and lessens tragedy of the Shinobi system. The same case goes for Nagaro's Rinnegan being from Madara too

Discussion Shibai should never show up.

Post image
1 Upvotes

I think Shibai should be like the Soul King, just a plot device and less of a character. Introducing aliens in this universe was a big mistake, things just became ridiculous. If Naruto remained grounded and about the human struggle between Shinobi clans. If shibai is a god who can just do whatever he wants, how do the heroes fight him without the story becoming convoluted and silly.

Discussion Giving away a fully configured Naruto Discord server layout to anyone who wants to run it! (Free)

Hey everyone! I spent a ton of time working hard to build and fully configure a brand new Naruto-themed Discord server. It has all the custom roles and organized category channels completely ready to go. I even set up a #rules channel that is a blank canvas for you to fill out.

Unfortunately, I am already managing two other servers and simply don't have the time to run this one or recruit members. I really don't want all my design work to go to waste, so I am looking to hand over full ownership to a passionate fan who wants a ready-made community to adopt.

  • Current Members: Just me (it is a fresh, empty layout).
  • What's included: Full Naruto-themed role hierarchy and organized category channels.

To comply with subreddit rules, please DO NOT post invite links here. If you are interested in taking over full ownership of the server, just drop a comment below or send me a DM! I will message you a standard invite link, and once you join, I will instantly transfer ownership over to you.

Discussion Why is it that Gohan is wildly beloved in the Dragon Ball fanbase. But Boruto is incredibly divisive within the Naruto fanbase?

Post image
0 Upvotes

They both serve the same narrative purpose. They are the son of the main protagonist but far more powerful than their fathers. Despite this, you'll rarely see a Dragon Ball fan outright hate Gohan. But there is a 50/50 chance you'll see a Naruto fan hate Boruto.

If I had to guess is because Gohan was introduced and developed in the middle of Goku's story.

Boruto was introduced at the end of Naruto's story with the purpose of replacing him in the sequel.

But I want to hear more opinions

VS Battle Pain vs İtachi

Post image
2 Upvotes

In my view, when assessed from a philosophical and literary perspective, Pain is a far better-written character than Itachi. Itachi really is a magnificent character, and I was an Itachi fan right up until the 2020–23 period; he’s still a character I love very much, but he cannot be counted amongst the top three best-written characters in the Naruto universe.

In terms of power, however, Pain is definitely in a much more advantageous position thanks to his ‘Hax’ ability and his clones; if Itachi does not fight in his Edo form, the battle ends very quickly and Itachi loses.

In terms of characterisation, my ranking would be as follows:

1. Sasuke

2. Pain

3. Obito

4. Naruto

5. Itachi

Theory Two Blue Vortex Boruto is basically a Future Trunks storyline waiting to happen

Post image
• Upvotes

Everyone is guessing the endgame, but the blueprint is clearly Future Trunks. Ikemoto is a huge Dragon Ball fanboy and the parallels are loud. Amado and Kara are direct homages to the Android and Cell sagas with broken cyborgs and evolving Shinju absorbing people.

Boruto is now a sword wielding survivor whose master Sasuke went down exactly like Future Gohan. Plus we know from the very first scene that Konoha gets destroyed during the Kawaki fight, perfectly setting up a doomed timeline.

The mechanics for a jump are already established. The anime made time travel canon, Momoshiki freezes time constantly, and Kishimoto already played with alternate realities in Road to Ninja. The biggest smoking gun is Kashin Koji's Shinjutsu that sees branching timelines.

Between Koji's foresight and Amado's tech, sending Boruto back is entirely plausible. The payoff writes itself. Boruto travels back to warn and train Naruto's generation against Jigen or even Shibai… exactly like Trunks did to prepare everyone for the Androids.

I actually really enjoy Boruto and do not mind if this never happens, but with all these pieces on the board it would be a fascinating direction to take.

Question Is the Naruto Manga From Zabuza Arc TO Pain Arc one of the greatest runs in Shonen history?

Change my mind?

I think this stretch of sequential arcs is one of the greatest consistent runs in shonen manga. There’s no arc that doesn’t feel up to par in my opinion…

Unlike other series where some arcs in between others are better or worse… (MHA)

Please…

Name another shonen that has a stretch of great arcs such as this?

Or

do you not think the arcs (Zabuza, Chunnin, Tsunade, Sasuke Retrieval, Kazekage, Bridge, Kakuza/Hidan, SasukeVsItachi, Pain) is as great as I do?

Question Are there any Boruto anime parts worth watching? Spoiler

I'm currently reading through Boruto because as I feel like most of us can agree the anime kinda sucks. But I also know that the Anime has some gems in it. For instance the Naruto & Sasuke vs. Momoshiki fight is really good in the anime. So I'm wondering if there are anything other really good anime moment. Anything that I should maybe switch to the anime to watch or any filler arcs that are really good.

Discussion I got hooked in Boruto manga

Actually I can't believe I say this but Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga got me hooked—i just feel everything is fresh? And I feel like in the end the focus going to be Naruto and Sasuke again. The most important is, Boruto is not annoying anymore—and I love how his interaction with Sarada.

I stopped watching Boruto after many new characters came up like maybe some years ago. Then I wanted to give shot for the new manga and it's actually so good, I like the premise.

What do you guys think about the Boruto manga?

Discussion Minato is overrated.

Got neg diffed by base 10 tails Madara who didn't even acknowledge him(but did acknowledge Gaara, Kakashi, Tobirama,Sasuke, etc)keep in mind this was Amped Sage Mode Minato. Self admittedly went high diff against 14 years old Obito. Got injured by wooden shrapnel then killed by a nine tail fingernail. Was being read and countered by teen Killer B(tentacle deflection and sword placement when Minato teleported behind him).

Some Naruto fans and Powerscalers: yeah he could totally beat prime Hashirama/Hiruzen/Madara.

The whole point of shippuden was about the darkness of the ninja world and the cycle of hate. Once that was conquered, there was nowhere else to go with ninja. It cant be about ninja anymore if the goal that ninjas were meant to carry out has already been completed

Discussion Apathy _ The real Curse

I have changed my issues with Naruto a ton over the years, and come to realize that while he has the product of his own struggles often... The biggest issue he and most others in his world face is apathy. People didn't see the problem with raising child soldiers, destroying entire clans, creating Jinchuuriki only to abuse them, what happened to Rain...

The world of Naruto is not this overly hateful place, nor is it overly loving. Curse of hate and Will of fire are myths, propaganda to justify abuses and fate and hate toward your enemies. These create a deep seated apathy where no one really questions everything....people are too comfortable in the world with suffering.

This is actually a real issue in basically all series with a young protagonist if we are being honest...

Question Were Asura and Indra reincarnations always male?

Wouldn't it be interesting if one of them was as girl then black zetsu kinda just ships them so that the offspring would get the rinnegan? Although when they realize they were siblings in their past life it would kinda be awkward.
