Mod Weekly thread where you can call the music recognition bots without posting

To use the bots put u/RecognizeSong u/find-song with the link in your comment, like:

u/RecognizeSong u/find-song https://youtu.be/12345abcde

Notes:

  • The bots only work with a recording of the actual song, not a humming/recreation.
  • The sites that find-song works with: Reddit video posts (with a link or when summoned on the original post), YouTube, Vocaroo, Streamable, Twitch Clips (not VODs)
  • Some of the sites that RecognizeSong works with: Reddit video posts (when summoned on the original post or with an audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4), YouTube (though sometimes it doesn't work), Vocaroo, Streamable, Imgur, Twitch Clips (not VODs), Facebook, Twitter, Coub, Dropbox, Snapchat
  • For Reddit video posts there's also u/songfinderbot which only works if you summon it in a top-level comment on the original post
  • Some sites that RecognizeSong doesn't work with: Instagram, Twitch VODs, SoundCloud, Google Drive, Reddit text posts with embedded videos (though it does work with the audio link if you're able to get it, like https://v.redd.it/12345/DASH_audio.mp4)
  • When needed, mention a timestamp or use a timestamped link if possible (the bots scan about 24-30 seconds of audio, starting at the timestamp)
  • If the song is from a meme or from TikTok then it might be listed in the FAQ
  • Note that you can also DM find-song a link (but not through chat)

Good luck with your search, and if you find the bots useful please consider supporting them: RecognizeSong through Patreon, find-song through Ko-fi

Male deep voice, sounds kinda like duran duran save a prayer, or tears for fears head over heels.

The melody is bflat g aflat bflat eflat(sustained) dflat c (dflat or a flat).

Here is me humming it: https://voca.ro/1h7kf46jt0Od

The lyrics could be

"And all my senseeeeeeeeeeeees, come to find" or something like that

Please help me friends.

Rock Can anyone help me find this early 2000's rock song's name and the artist?

The lyrics are

I know, I know, I know
She’s every piece of me, of me, of me
We’re marching heavenly
To seize, to seize
Where I can feel you breathe, you breathe, you breathe
We’ll slumber happily
So I never feel alone, alive
When I’m with you
So I never feel alone
I look at pictures of you
So I never feel the loneliness to fix you
So I never feel
I’m cold, I’m cold, I’m cold
You melt anxieties
Your aura, your aura
Is elevating me
To need, to need
Your hands do feel secure
Adore, adore
The way you are so pure
So I never feel alone, alive
When I’m with you
So I never feel alone
I look at pictures of you
So I never feel the loneliness to fix you
So I never feel
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel (Cant watch you go)
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel (Cant watch you go)
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel (Cant watch you go)
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel
I never feel (Cant watch you go)
So I never feel alone, alive
When I’m with you
So I never feel alone
I look at pictures of you
So I never feel the loneliness to fix you
So I never feel

I got the song from a friend way back in 2003 or 2004. Its a rock song. Ive had the song for all these years and have just never been able to find out who made the song. Ive searched the internet for years with the lyrics to no avail.

Heres a vocaroo link to the song.

Shoegaze Can anyone identify this song from a 6s clip (shoegaze/ethereal) ?

Hey!

I'm trying to identify the song playing in this short 6-second clip. Unfortunately, I don't know the genre, the artist, or when the song was released. I tried shazam also.

I've attached the recording. If anyone recognizes the song or has any idea who the artist might be, I'd really appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Indie Indie band with twang - lyrics about you at the end of the line/road

• Upvotes

Hey folks. I’m trying to remember the title & artist of a song I heard a year or so ago. I really enjoyed it and it’s driving me crazy that I can’t quite remember enough details about it. So here’s what I do remember:

- genre was upbeat indie with a twang
- male lead vocals
- lyrics along the lines of “it’s a long and difficult journey/ride, but I don’t mind if it’s you at the end of the line/road”
- from memory it sounded a bit like the fruit bats or ROLE MODEL

If this is ringing a bell for anyone please let me know! Thanks

Jazz Jazz or Jazz-pop, 1950's or 1960's, Female, English

• Upvotes

There was a song which started with phonetic reduplication, something like this:

means, shmeans, angle-shmangle

The song was similar in rhythm, vocals and general vibe to Peggy Lee's Fever, it had similar tempo, shuffled beat, contralto female vocals in jazzy manner. I'm very much sure it was in English though I didn't speak it fluently when I heard the song. It was around year 2000 in Russia but the station is specialized in foreign oldies music.

Indie “Shadows try to take me (something something) but mirrors aren’t reflecting”

• Upvotes

It goes something like that, I might have butchered the first part. Heard it on the radio but lost the channel/got distracted. Sounds indie-ish, might new because I have never heard it before.

Other/Unknown Fast dance/trance song with high-pitched female vocals from the 2000s.

Thumbnail voca.ro
• Upvotes

I only remember this short part of the song, which I've tried to recreate by whistling. The melody and rhythm are as close to the original as I can remember. It had a high-pitched, almost ethereal female voice, possibly slightly processed or sped up. The music was fairly fast-paced and energetic, possibly dance or trance, with a slightly Celtic or folk-inspired sound. Unfortunately, I don't remember any lyrics, and I'm not even sure whether the singer was singing actual words or just vocalizing.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rap Tongue in cheek rap song from ~15 years ago

I saw a video on YouTube roughly 15 years ago (I could be off by a couple of years either way). One lyric I remember went something like "I know how to make shit work, I know how to put a nigga in a hurt". I believe the chorus was something like "I smoke crack". I could be off somewhat on the chorus, but I feel like I remember the word "crack" being prominent. From what I recall, the person in the video was white and walking down the street or sidewalk while singing. I remember it being very tongue in cheek, maybe some kind of parody of rap?

Edit: A note on the chorus. I very strongly remember the word "crack" said very loudly and echoed or repeated a lot.

R&B I think it's a 2010ish American pop ballad, maybe sang by a black voice (Rihanna, Beyoncé, Little Mix come to my mind, but I'm not sure...)

Answered! [TOMT][SONG] Deep Johnny Cash-like voice repeating only "Run" over an angelic choir

Heard it last night. Western vibe. An old man's very deep voice (sounds exactly like Johnny Cash) says "Run", then an angelic choir in the background, then "Run" again, and that's basically the whole track.

Could be an edit/remix or an AI Cash voice. Any ideas?

Rock Emo rock song from 2000-2010

Can somebody help me to find a popular emo (probably) rock song from 2000-2010. Its tune in chorus is like TU rururu / TU rururu / turururu. The words for understanding of motive are like SAY you wanna / SAY you wanna / do it agaaaain (in song the verse is different, this example just for motive). A man sings with a breaking voice with accent on CAPITAL highlited parts.
