sharing my photo documentary zine that follows my family moving back to Japan after living in California for 25 years. Shot on 35mm, Moving documents spaces and memories left behind and returned to: the houses my parents rented in San Jose, and the Hiyoshi home that had to be abandoned due to my grandmother's dementia.

Weaving between empty rooms and familiar objects in Tokyo and San Jose, the book has a quiet contradiction: As my grandmother loses her memories, we return to them, unpack, re-live, and move on.

I'm currently working on an optical disc zine, however I've not seem many people talking about them. They were a thing in the 90s/2000s but I wanted the community's input about them. Thanks for any info

figured i’d make a zine about a way you can make zines.
i intended this to be the most accessible/simplistic way to use canva (i. e. no finding a template) that makes sense for people just starting out (at least this is what’s worked for me lol)

Was a little bored this evening so I decided to throw this zine together!

I'm trying my best out here to generate interest in my horror poetry zines, and I dont know if its too much/not enough.... i feel like people walk past and don't even take interest. Or they see "Horror Poetry" and ot goes over their heads? I feel like i'm doing something wrong.

Also, sincerest apologies to any German speakers. I am painfully aware of my multiple grammatical mistakes here and I swear my German is usually much better. My attention was very divided and fixing them would've required lots of scribbling, so. Here we are :/

so i’ve been interested in creating zines recently and I thought about cutting some photos I like from some old magazines I have laying around at home. But I was wondering, what do I do with the rest of the magazine once I’ve cut out what I like? Assuming that I won’t use it for any more projects. I thought maybe donating it but idk who would want a magazine where half of is it cut out. But I don’t wanna just throw it away so is there any better option?

Back in May, my job would be really slow on Fridays so I made a few zines to pass the time. Nothing was planned out so it's a little nonsensical. I made a few others that I might share later but this one is getting sent to my cousin so I wanted to post it before it travels. Featuring my linocut work in the background :)

Happy New Wave November! - A totally made up, month-long holiday I made up a few years ago to celebrate a genre filled with great music that's perfect to listen to as the leaves change colors. And I want to spread the good word through a zine! I'm hoping to collaborate with some people equally as passionate about New Wave who would be interested in writing a few hundred words about their favorite band/album, the genre's history and influences, or any other random musings.
