Art/Creators Megathread Weekly Art/Creators Promo Megathread
Welcome to this Week's Art/Creators Promo Megathread!
Here you can share examples of work and links to creator's profiles (including your own!) as long as it is not on a Meta owned platform (Instagram, Facebook etc.) or Twitter.
Let's help our community artists, authors, designers, craft makers, musicians, singers, sculptors, performers, streamers and any other kind of creator get recognised and celebrate the amazing creativity in our community!
A few quick rules:
- No AI/NFT Content.
- Accounts shared must be creating own content, not solely reposting others.
- NSFW Suggestive art (e.g. shirtless/pin up) is allowed but must be tagged. NSFW Explicit art (e.g. pornography, genitals visible) or NSFW suggestive of real people is not allowed. No links to exclusively 18+ platforms e.g. OnlyFans.
- Creator must be actively posting on a platform other than Meta or Twitter.
- Comments from users with less than 50 karma on this subreddit will be auto-removed to avoid spammers. (I will look to approve genuine ones when possible but no promises!)
- Please respect if a creator says no reposts of their work - just share a link.
The art/work they create does not have to be LGBTQ+ related, we're here to help any creator who is LGBTQ+ promote their profiles, particularly if they're trying to establish themselves on a different one with the recent social media drama!
Looking forward to discovering some new creators with you all!

UNPOPULAR OPINION BUT THIS FLAG IS SO COOL (i’m trans)
i’m a trans lesbian, and genuinely this flat fits my vibe better then any other flag related to being trans and lesbian. AND I HATE THAT ITS USED BY TERFS
lowkey i might just use it anyways. the only issue is that I LOVE (/ prefer) TRANS WOMAN.
i’m clocky so maybe i can get away with it 🤔

Selfie I’ve just a hit a month on HRT, which still sounds wild - I did not think I’d reach this point. On the left is August this year. Right is yesterday, with hair (not mine lol) and makeup.
My ex used to be the my makeup artist (for 8 years or so) so I’ve had to really knuckle down and try to get to grips with it. She supported me up until I got the call about actually starting hormones and then she was out of there lol.

Confronted a dude using slurs in public
Just angry and venting I guess. Tried to go a concert with my family, dude next us was loudly ranting about politics to his friend, which is annoying and tasteless but whatever.
Then the guy starts ranting about the f slurs in key West. I confronted him and demanded to know what he just said. Called him an asshole and he protested a gay guy hit on him. Said to him would he go around dropping the n word because a black woman hit on him. He said he'd leave, it was open seating and my family suggested we leave to another spot. I said no. I was staying he was leaving. He said he'd leave as soon as his wife came back. We waited for his wife to come back he left.
Of course he had the gaul to ask my mother was she "ashamed of me" for confronting him, what a total piece of work. She said no obviously. I was raised to stand up for myself.
I doubt anyone cares, but as much progress as we've made some really shitty people feel very comfortable using slurs in public around strangers. Fuck him, I don't regret confronting him. I'm proud I stood my ground and that I got to watch him fold, he was a cowardly bigot.
His wife looked embarrassed, I bet this happens a lot.
Edit: thank you the response to this has made a difficult night easier. I'm glad that despite it all I still have a community behind me.

do I need to shut up about my lesbian crushes?
I'm in a highschool advanced theatre class and given the fact that we all had to audition together to get in the class and a lot of us have been in the class for multiple years, it's a pretty close knit group.
Because of this and also because these are theatre kids I'm pretty comfortable with being very open about my romantic preferences. I have several celebrity crushes that I bring up pretty often in what I hope is a silly, non annoying way. There are several other girls in the class that do the same thing with their male celebrity crushes. Things like writing their crush's name on the board with hearts around it, gushing about a new song they made and playing it in class, talking about how they're the perfect match for eachother (jokingly) etc.
The thing is, when I do the exact same stuff with my girl crushes, the reactions are always more extreme. Like, when people do it with their male crushes, people usually react with laughter, some eye rolling, encouragement to the girl and other similair things. But when I do it, the reactions aren't offended or overtly negative per say but they always act like I did something more scandalous. Looking at eachother and mainly just being like "omg, R??" (R is short for my name since I'm not comfortable putting my actual name down.)
I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into it or being too sensitive. It's probably just a matter of us living in a red state in the US, but I honestly expected them to be more casual about my girl crushes and they never really are. Should I just avoid conflict and stop bringing them up, or maybe confront them about the tiny bit of hypocrisy?

Canada Specific A 41-Year History of Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow’s LGBTQ Advocacy
For over four decades, Olivia Chow has talked the talk and walked the walk when it comes to her support for LGBTQ rights. From her anti-discrimination advocacy as a Toronto Board of Education member in the 1980s to her outspoken support for same-sex marriage and gender-identity protections as a member of Parliament (MP), Chow has been a longtime supporter of Canada’s queer community.
Chow, who became Toronto’s mayor in 2023, is in a tight reelection race that will take place on Oct. 26 against Brad Bradford, an urban planner and member of the Toronto City Council. Chow’s platform is centered on fighting rising costs, community safety, affordable housing and fixing the city’s public transportation system, while Bradford’s is focused on decreasing crime and transportation congestion and increasing affordability and city cleanliness.
Bradford’s LGBTQ track record isn’t bad: Earlier this week, he took part in an LGBTQ inclusion forum, where he said that “we need to make sure this is a city that comes together and rallies around unity and make sure that in all the spaces we are all seen, there is a place of tolerance and in fact celebration for all of us.”
Despite this, Chow—who appeared and spoke at an Uncloseted Media fundraiser in May—has put her allyship toward Toronto’s queer community front and center for nearly half a century. Here’s a timeline of her support for LGBTQ causes.
Teacher wouldn't let my cis son use the boys room
For background, my family moved from the south to upstate New York because I'm a trans woman. The state laws are fantastic but culturally it's *very* conservative here. Both of my kids are cis but for some reason everyone here always calls my youngest son a girl; doctors, teachers, etc. He hates it, especially because he looks and dresses no different than any other boy. His hair is a little longer but not outside the norm of other boys at his school. Picture a 90s grunge kid.
Earlier this week he was having trouble creating a hall pass for the boy's bathroom on their class computer. His teacher helped him but stopped my son from selecting the boy's bathroom as the destination. So my son told the teacher he's a boy. The teacher told him "but biologically you're not" in front of other kids and made him select the girl's bathroom.
The state laws are extremely clear on this that even if he were trans he can use whichever bathroom. And there's NEVER a reason to suggest anything about my kid's genitals!Today my wife and I spoke with one of the principals. Apparently the teacher had already approached him about the situation and said he didn't realize my son identified as a boy. From the conversation it was clear they both still think he's trans in some way, even after we repeatedly said he's not. If it had just been another misgendering that would be one thing, but the teacher violated the law, was being a bigot, and did it publicly. Now my son doesn't feel safe going to that class.
I'm so freaking upset by this. The bigots that "are just trying to protect children" and "can always tell" are absolute morons. I wish I was shocked by the administrator minimizing this to two queer women but I'm not. I'm not a litigious person but this is probably going to change that. Fuck these transphobic jackasses.
Edit to answer some common comments:
As of right now I have no reason to believe that me being trans has any weight in the matter. Yes the school can piece it together with the paperwork I've submitted but I haven't gotten the sense anyone has or would want to. We're a gay couple but fly way below anyone's radar. As I've said, this is a consistent problem with adults around here and I really don't get clocked. It seems like a genuine case of "I thought this cis person was trans" which is far from rare.
The media is a last resort. It's still a small, predominantly conservative area. While I've had good experiences as an actual trans person, attracting local (and potentially higher) attention on my family is the last thing I want. We only want to stop this from happening to another kid, queer or not.
Second edit just to say how appreciative I am of all the support. I can't respond to this many messages but I've read them. Thank you all. 🩷
Edit 3: I didn't go into it initially but yes, we're going to bat for our kid here. It's been raised to the district level. We're very aware of our legal routes. I'm involved in a lot of community groups and have all the phone numbers. I appreciate all the support and advice.

Coming Out! I'm agender!
Today, I found out I'm agender!
My cousin was talking about how he's agender, and I realized I am too! When I think about myself or look in a mirror, I never think of myself as having a gender, I'm just disconnected with the concept entirely. I don't see myself on a spectrum of masculine to androgynous to feminine at all, I'm just apart from it.
Now, I go by they/he pronouns (I like they and he equally, but I put the they first, because people usually only use he if I put he/they), so yeah!
It's really freeing, not living by these rules of gender and labels, I'm just me. I don't mind being perceived as a man (I'm AMAB), but I'm not any of it. I like men, women, and nonbinary people, but I won't put a label on it.
I'm done with all this categorization, none of these labels can capture or explain me like my own words can.
I feel so euphoric and free now, it's wonderful, and I'm so happy I looked into it and questioned myself instead of just assuming I'm cis.
Yay! I'm so happy! :)

Need Advice I genuinely just don't know what to do and its destroying me
I don't know what to do anymore,I have had gender dysphoria eversince my second year of highschool. I'm a senior now and its just getting worse, I can't do anything about it either do to my relgion which I hold dear to myself as I am a traditionalist catholic but im starting to wounder why God ever created me if it meant I hated my own body amd voice ect. I'm seriously starting to consider taking estrogen when im 18 but then I'd be betraying my faith. I cannot understand what I should do. I just feel like it would have been more merciful for god to have killed me at birth, i dont want to keep living like this.

Need Advice If it's better to live as a gay guy in the US versus Korea
I'm a gay high schooler in South Korea (Gay marriage isn't legal but being gay isn't persecuted. Most people are homophobic). I think I should go to a college in the US because I feel like I can be more open there and be able to date. I've recently come out to my parents, and they don't think that way. They think the US might be better on legal standards, and outwards appearance, but people are still homophobic and just keep it to themselves, and it's going to be difficult either way. They also said that I might face more violence there (since Korea is very safe in general). They said I'm idealizing a fantasy.
I always thought that being gay in the US is mostly accepted now, and young people aren't that homophobic. And since a lot of people are out (I've read near 10% for Gen Z men) most people would have at least met a gay guy before (Practically no one is out here, so coming out would be a terrible idea and I would also have to stay under the radar and date secretly).
Which do you think is more correct? Is it not that good in the US? Can you be out without much fear, and can you date like it's sort of normal?
TL;DR: My parents think that the US isn't that much better for me, a gay guy, than South Korea. Is it?

Need Advice Supporting bff questioning their gender
I'm sorry if this isn't the right place for this post!
My friend and I have been best friends for 21 years now. I love them unconditionally. They told me the other day that they are questioning their gender. We got to hang out that night so thankfully I was able to show them that I don't think of them any differently and that I accept them. Everything is going smoothly and nothing is going wrong.
I just wanted to come on here and ask everyone maybe what are some ways I can support my friend? I want to be a safe person for them. I was also wondering if there were any ideas on how I could naturally use their preferred pronouns in front of them bc they're not publicly questioning so I can't use the pronouns in front of others. I want to show them that I Iove and support them and make them feel that I do.
I also ordered a few things to put in a gift bag to kinda give thanks for them telling me. I don't think it's anything to be worried about since it's regular non-gender gifts that fit our friendship. The general vibe of the gift is a "I love you" vibe and not a gender-focused vibe. I'm looking forward to giving the gifts to them on Tuesday :).
I see them again Monday and then I'm with them all day Tuesday and some of Wednesday. So anything I can do or any ways I can show them that I love them and that I support them would be very appreciated!!

Content warning: Transphobia Message to all the trans girlies out there Spoiler
Just thought I'd make this after an event at work
(Transphobic coworker yapping about trans customer)
Hey gals! I'm CIS but I just thought I'd say that I consider you guys one of us, we gals protect eachother, and you are a gal just like me.
Some girls will not accept you, and that's okay, just know that they are the kind of people that aren't nice to anyone, Cis, trans or otherwise, not just you. It's a sign of their character, not yours.
You are just as valid as me, and there will always be allies here for you
Okay thats it, have a great day!
