So Michigan State’s current roster is somewhere between 18-22 million atleast according to the Athletic so if we want to be good next year I’m expecting like a 35-40 player haul in the portal along with it being a T15-20 class. Assuming we go 2-10 or 3-9 we’d have to pay a “suck tax” for any quality players along with bringing a high class which would be another 15-20 million dollars to atleast field a 7 win team, totaling to about a 40-45 million dollar roster (ex: Currently projected teams in this range: Michigan, Indiana, USC). Do you guys have faith that we’ll go from bottom in the conference to T5 in NIL spending?

Every time I see a we are one play away from 4-3 or we almost won the game I die a little inside. We are a better program than to accept almost beating middle of the pack big ten teams. Should we fire Pat now, no because it would look terrible to fire a first year coach midway through the season but if we go 2-10 and we don’t have a good recruiting class there should be serious consideration of looking for a new coach. It wasn’t like he was a top hire in the first place or that other teams were banging down the door to hire him and his recent record against the power 4 is alarming to say the least. He needs to win games this season, none of this moral victory bullshit because the worst our record is the harder it will be to get talent for next season. He has already failed to reach a bowl game which I think we had the talent to do but we have to at least beat 2 out or last five to gain some respectability as a program. Also if we lose by more then ten points to a terrible Michigan team I would consider firing him after the season. In summary expect more out of this program and stop with the sunshine pumping losses, it's a loser mindset.

Are they allowed?

For me I would have to say 2019 Final 4 takes the cake.

If it happens, it will be literally the worst Spartan football season ever. We went 0-9 in like 1917. We are the worst program in the Big Ten and one of the worst in the country. This is rock bottom.

Chiles waving goodbye to the MSU crowd like he just won a natty and it’s the fans’ fault that Jonathan Smith was an incompetent moron.

Another moral victory for Sparty in a game they had no business being in. Not sure how many more of these moral victories I can take.

Great talent, but always had poor football IQ. He had no spacial awareness on that last play vs OSU. Pay attention to your feet, my man.

After Izzo’s comments yesterday about “MSU football going somewhere soon….” How confident are you that this will happen?

By saying “going somewhere” I mean competitive in the big ten, winning 9-10 games, and being talked about in the playoffs each year.

Can Fitz and this administration do it!?!?

He‘s a joke, I’m surprised he didn’t try to flip off the Pope. This team blows goats, what a disaster. can we just forfeit the rest of the year and use the football team money to invest in the Cyclatron?

"Based on my review of the agreement, I don't think when we're talking about revenue sharing and raising money ... I don't think that moving on from that agreement would be in the best interests of Michigan State and our football program.

"And so that's not something that I'm willing to look at."

Bartholomae said he wasn't aware of any legal maneuvering that would allow Michigan State to get out of the contracts with Central Michigan without paying the full price tag.

"We're trying to pour resources into the football program, not take them away," Bartholomae said. "Every decision I make is going to be in the best interest of the football program."

Another incredibly pathetic response by the university. No reason to play that piece of shit program ever again. It seems like it is impossible to get anybody with a backbone into positions of leadership at the school.

The 26th Battle for the Big Bear ends in a 1-1 draw, the trophy is only taken by a winning team so we will retain it for a 5th year. The Spartans have held it since 2022 after a 2-0 win. We have kept it after 0-0 draws in 2023 and 2024, and a 2-1 upset of then #5 Michigan in 2025. The Spartans lead the Big Bear series 14-6-6.

We controlled the first half of this game, but despite some good opportunities, their goalkeeper kept us out of the net. Michigan was much more competitive in the second half, producing most of their shots after the break. Leo Conneh gave us the lead, but late in the game a foul in our box gave Michigan a penalty kick which they converted to equalize with ~5 minutes left. Neither team was able to break the tie before time ran out, though it certainly wasn't from a lack of trying.

I will call out our goalkeeper Jake Grekowicz for some.... questionable choices. In particular, the one where he ran like 20 feet out of the box into the thick of it chasing the ball, leaving the goal wide open behind him. I'm astonished that Michigan was unable to score with such opportunities handed to them on a silver platter. However, I will not complain too much since the only goal ultimately came from a penalty unrelated to these moments, and he certainly made some nice saves when he was in the box. Probably something Coach Rensing should talk to him about though! 🤔

The Spartans are 8-2-2 overall and 4-1-1 in B1G conference play. Currently, we have 13 points and are tied with Indiana and Washington at the top of the conference standings. However, Indiana has a game in hand, unless they lose against Rutgers, expect them to retake the lead on Friday. We will be playing at Ohio State on Friday, if we can win, then either a loss or draw by Indiana would put us ahead of them. The Hoosiers are currently undefeated, and our game against them at the end of the regular season may very well be the deciding game for the conference title. Washington and UCLA are still very much in contention though, so they could be spoilers. We will face Washington next week on the 23rd.

Go Green! 💚🤍
