If anyone could take a minute to read our story, it would mean so much to us. 🄺

I run Hope for Paws UAE, a small home-based rescue caring for around 80 cats and 5 dogs. We’ve been posting and sharing them for months, hoping someone would adopt them, but the adoptions just aren’t happening.

We need to reduce the number of animals in our care within the next month. With our housing situation becoming uncertain, we urgently need people who can adopt some of our cats and dogs or take some of them into safe, responsible foster homes.

Now our landlord isn’t renewing our tenancy, and we need to find another place for the animals. We simply cannot afford to rent another villa large enough for everyone.

On top of that, we’re paying almost AED 3,000 every month just for electricity to keep the animals cool in this UAE heat. At this point, we’re struggling to pay the bill, and we’re terrified that the electricity will soon be disconnected because we have no way to settle it.

We’re also struggling to afford food and veterinary bills. We have several sick cats who need medical attention, but our outstanding balances have made it difficult to get veterinary clinics to accept more cases.

I’m honestly overwhelmed trying to figure out how we’re going to manage everything.

What we desperately need right now is visibility and people who can help us reach the right audience.

If you know any UAE influencers, content creators, animal lovers, or public figures who might be willing to share our rescue, please connect us with them. Even one repost could help an animal find a home.

If you’re in the UAE and have been thinking about adopting, please consider our animals. And if you know anyone who could responsibly take in a few cats or dogs, please share our page with them.

Please follow, share, and help us reach more people. We’ve been trying for months, and we cannot keep waiting and hoping someone will eventually come across our posts.

These animals depend on us, and I desperately want to find a way forward for them before it’s too late. ā¤ļøšŸ¾

UrgentšŸ’”cat hit by a car.

This cat was hit by a car and ran away. I saw him dragging himself and crying in pain. I couldn’t leave him suffering like this, so we brought him to the vet clinic.

He has diarrhea, an oral infection, and a suspected pelvic injury. He urgently needs an X-ray to check the extent of his injuries and determine the treatment he needs.
Unfortunately, after rescuing and treating so many cats over the past 40 days, I’m overwhelmed with cases and vet bills. I honestly cannot afford to take on another case on my own.

But how could I leave him there, dragging himself and crying in pain?

WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP. Please help us cover his X-ray, treatment, and medication. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference.
He is already suffering so much. Please help me give him a chance to recover. ā¤ļø
Please DM me if you can help. Every bit of support matters.

So dubai cancelled visa of a millionaire acquaintance

What exactly is going on? I saw people were losing visas but mostly they were doing low salaried jobs. But recently i came across a few stories where those who got on the cross hair were wealthy men, they own established businesses that bring millions, they live in villas, own properties.

Now I'm really worried about my future here. Do they not want us anymore?

When do you think UAE visa issues for Pakistani nationals will finally be resolved?

I’ve been wondering when the ongoing visa difficulties for Pakistani nationals in the UAE might finally improve.

Yes, visa issues for Pakistanis have existed for years, but I genuinely don’t think they’ve ever been as serious as they are right now. We’re now hearing about visa renewal rejections, work permit difficulties, and situations where it seems almost impossible for Pakistani nationals to obtain new mainland employment visas.

What’s particularly frustrating is that there are thousands of Pakistanis who were born and raised in the UAE, have spent their entire lives here, and genuinely consider this country their home. Many have businesses, families, and everything they’ve worked for here.

Previously, the difficulties seemed to affect mostly new visa applications, but now even people who have lived here for years appear to be facing problems with renewals.

My question is, when do you realistically think this situation will improve? Are we talking about a few months, another year, or possibly much longer?

Has anyone recently managed to get a Pakistani employment visa approved through MOHRE for a mainland company? Or successfully renewed a visa after initially facing rejection?

I’d genuinely appreciate hearing from people who have firsthand experience or reliable information rather than just rumours.

Three kittens without a mother urgently need a safe place -Mirdif

I’ve been feeding these three kittens for the past 10 days, and I haven’t seen their mother around. I’ve seen some female cats coming to eat, but they run away, and I don’t know if any of them is their mother. Other ladies who work in the area and pass by regularly have also told me they’ve never seen a mother cat with them.

They’re around 4–5 weeks old and have started walking around and exploring. Unfortunately, this is becoming dangerous for them. There’s a large sandy area nearby where men live and ride small motorised vehicles. The kittens are starting to wander further away, and I’m afraid they could get run over.
This morning, when I came at 5 a.m. to feed them, one kitten was missing. I searched the entire sandy area and eventually found him behind it, inside a nearby compound. I brought him back, but I can’t keep them safe in this location.

I’m also worried because it’s parvo season. On top of that, the cleaner removes their water and dry food in the morning, usually around 6:30–7 a.m. I can return to feed them at 4 p.m., but they cannot go all those hours without water, especially in this heat and humidity. They’re no longer getting milk from their mother, so access to water is essential.

Please, can anyone foster or adopt these three kittens? Even a safe garden or another secure place would be much better than where they are now.
I’m really worried that something will happen to them if they stay here. Please help me find them somewhere safe.

Title: Umrah Package Scam, Need Help, Scammers : Al Rasheed Travel and Tourists

Thumbnail

My friend was planning his first Umrah and saving his hard earned salary. We never imagined anyone could scam people in the name of Allah and religion.

In December 2025, he found an Instagram story ad from Al Rasheed Travel and Tourists. He contacted them and transferred 1500.AED to their bank account shared via WhatsApp.

Our departure was scheduled for 14 January 2026, but they later said the group was full and promised a refund or rescheduling. My friend had already taken 10 days of leave, so he booked with another company and completed his Umrah الحمد لله.

Since then, he has politely followed up every month, but they kept delaying. Eventually, they told him to do whatever he wanted or keep waiting, then blocked him on all their WhatsApp numbers. They also disabled Instagram comments. And don't know much of things to do.

What can we do to recover the money, and prevent others from being scammed? Any advice would be appreciated.

Auto service aggregator

• Upvotes

Hi I would like to get inputs form both the experts of auto services and the common users.
I was thinking of addressing one segment in UAE which is around car repair and service. Eg. regular oil service, cleaning, leather seats servicing, interior etc. I find it very difficult to find the right vendor for these different type of services and I have to run pillar to post. Then when I find I am not sure about quality and price.
I was thinking of create a service like insurance market.ae which will be for the cars. Right now we have for tyres and batteries but nothing for rest of the car servicing.
So how will it work. If I need to get my leather seats serviced I will raise a request and I will find prices from 5-10 vendors and I will choose the vendor. I will book the service and get it done. As a user you will have price guarantee. If you are not satisfied the vendor will either redo it or money back.
What do you think? Will you be interest in such service? What can be the challenge he’s to make it work?

Shopping Advice for Emarati products

• Upvotes

Hello!

I am visiting the Dubai and Sharjah with my wife in a couple weeks. It's my third time visiting, and I would appreciate some advice on which stores I should be visiting to buy some products.

I am specifially looking for the best place to buy:

  1. Oud wood for incense burners.
  2. Khaleeji style Thobe / Dishdasha.
  3. 'Abayas

Previously, I went to a oud store in JBR, and unfortunately I wasn't pleased with the oud they provided (it came as tiny coal bricks with oud scent). I also went to a thobe store in Dubai mall, but the quality was not what I was expecting.

I'd love to hear about places that locals visit to buy these products.

Thanks!

Please Help….

• Upvotes

I am a person with 10 years experience in military ATC without a commercial license and i recently moved to Dubai . Currently the job market is absolutely brutal and i thought of changing to a flight dispatcher career. I thought of obtaining my GCAA flight dispatcher license from a local academic provider which actually pretty expensive. Can somebody be kind enough to provide me details regarding job market, average salary scale, working hours, future career progression and etc. Thank you.

What’s a habit you picked up in Dubai without even realising?

Checking traffic before saying yes to plans, carrying a jacket just for the AC, or asking ā€œIs parking available?ā€ before asking anything else šŸ˜‚

What’s something you do automatically now that you never used to do before living here?

And have you caught yourself doing it when you’re back in your home country?

Was craving one last week, haven't found it on their online menu or other food delivery apps.

Imo it was one of the better option for vegetarians comparing with other fast food brands.

Help please!

Hi, I am in need of help which i am sure no one but the Sheikh can help me with.

I will write out of heart hoping someone can help me, my mother had gone through a very tough 4 years with her business, and unfortunately we had been scammed, stolen from and literally cornered to worse than bankruptcy.. reason for all this is literally so obviously a person with money and strength here from abu Dhabi stole literally our business from us through scam.

Since then we can’t even barely pay a lawyer and she has gone so ill she cant travel cant leave the house cant do anything and i’m 25 years old working day by day to try pay rent/bills/medics a lot more, even we owe a huge amount to people and old employees, multiple cases and court orders that are fake but we literally can’t afford any lawyer as all ask for money before anything.

I am pleading for any way to meet or ask for help legally i don’t need assistance of money i just need them to hear me or her out.

I have tried so many things even for hospitals to apply for aid for her surgeries but non worked out.

Is there a way i can send that plea or meet up with them, please help.

Thank you for hearing me out.

Do you guys feel attached to your car?

I’ve realised that vehicle ownership in this country is always temporary. Once you have to leave you need to sell your car. No matter how much I love my car, the feeling of true ownership is not there and it makes me sad lol.
