Work In Progress What if WWI never ended… and the tanks learned to walk?

Been working on a new tabletop wargame called Hell Below , set in an alternate history where WWI continues beyond 1918 and both sides begin developing armored walking machines.
Here’s one of my first resin-printed prototypes, the German Eisenjäger B2, an anti-infantry walker armed with twin Spandau machine guns.
I wanted these machines to look like something engineers of the period might actually attempt to build. Riveted armor, exposed mechanical joints, enclosed crew compartments, and nothing too futuristic.
The game is designed for 1/144 scale, including the infantry, tanks, walkers, and battlefield terrain.
Still early in development, but seeing the walker on the battlefield alongside the infantry is really bringing the whole concept to life.
Curious what everyone thinks. Does the design capture that WWI feel? I’m particularly interested in hearing what fellow historical wargamers and miniature enthusiasts think of the concept.

Price comparison - Warhammer 40k, Starcraft, Konflikt 47, Star Wars Legion

I've written this article to give a rough rundown of the prices of different 28mm/32mm scale sci-fi wargames, looking at what you can reasonably expect to spend to build a full army. It shouldn't surprise anyone that Warhammer 40k is the most expensive. But having spent a fair amount of time browsing the ranges for all the games, I get the impression that that most of the price difference comes from 40k a lot more models to play, rather than just the price of kits.

Question What Solo/Co-Op Wargame would you like to see digitalized in an async way?

So I’m working on an app to let people play wargames synchronously, not all games have a 1:1 conversion to async so the they’re more “derived from”.

Anyways, I’ve looked at FoW and Bolt Action and I realized there’s probably some good solo/co-op systems out there and they could translate to async rather well.

So what solo/co-op wargames you think would be good in an async way? Any cool human vs zombie ones? Humans vs bugs?

Work In Progress I 3D Printed a PALACE of SLAANESH! 30 Sigvalds & 10 DRAGONS?!

I've started a pretty ambitious Warhammer 3D-printing project: building my own Palace of Slaanesh, and this is Part 1 of a five-part series!

The idea is to create a custom Slaanesh temple inspired by Warhammer terrain, surrounded by an absolutely ridiculous army.

So far, I've printed:

  • 5 Sigvald the Magnificents, with the goal of reaching 30.
  • 2 dragons inspired by Game of Thrones, with the plan to print 10 in total and give each one a Sigvald rider.
  • A custom Slaanesh temple to serve as the centrepiece of the palace.

I'm also making the 3D files myself and sharing them for free, so other people can print the project too.

I'm documenting the build on my YouTube channel, Grey Wargaming. If you enjoy seeing ambitious Warhammer terrain, custom armies and 3D-printed miniatures come together, here's the first episode:

I'd love to hear what you think! Would an army of 30 Sigvalds and 10 dragon riders be the ultimate Slaanesh spectacle, or have I completely lost the plot? 😈

Question AD&D Battle systems Skirmish: What was it like? Is it any good

Ive recently been looking to find a fantasy skrimish game with customizable unit, and so far I’ve come across the game mentioned in the title as well as sword weirdoes. Now I’ve played space weirdos so I have a good idea what I’m getting into with sword weirdoes, but I really couldn’t find much about this game, all that usually comes up regards it larger scale version. Is there anything interesting about this game? How are armies balanced out? Would it be worth looking into or should I just stick to what im already familiar with?

DBF Orcs vs Humans

I played a 200pt solo game of DBF this morning. I took a few pics but then got too caught up in the game and forgot to take any more. I experimented with a few new troop types ( flyers and Great flyers) and new army builds.

The Humans did well but the game ended in an Orc victory. Figures are a mix of Grenadier, Ral Partha and Alternative armies. All 15mm.

Another unit joins the Government army in my ongoing 28mm Culloden project!

Price's 14th Regiment of Foot were among the British regulars who faced the Jacobite army at the Battle of Culloden on 16 April 1746. Fielding 304 rank and file on the day. Casualties were one killed nine wounded.

Every unit brings me one step closer to recreating the armies that fought on Culloden Moor. There’s still a long way to go but the collection is steadily growing!

Figures are 3d printed resin miniatures ive printed myself from battlecat miniatures. Flags are from Flags of War
