Harlaw pitches

are harlaw pitches now closed to the public on evenings / weekends? used to go there to run/ kick a ball about but have driven past recently and seen they appear to be padlocked?

If you went to the Harlaw Road that was locked as they were building the new pavilion. But from the ocromwell road side should be good to go. We use it for the kids football training and never been an issue getting in

They've started locking it. I often walk past as its on my usual evening-walk loop.

It's been locked a lot recently.

It's perhaps closed for the school holidays? I know there was an issue in summer with e-bikes tearing up the pitches.

It’s now Harlaw schools playing fields so that may be why it’s now locked

It's not Harlaw school playing fields. They should be open at all times and I've had contact with the city councillors on this who agree. Something to do with an over zealous person who needs to be put back in their place. Please report it to your councillor if it's seen (Martin greig is great).
