Photography Bevan Von Einem photographed in Adelaide's first pride parade, 1973
Unfortunate discovery I made and just thought this was interesting. Image source is: Jill Matthews Collection, Australian Queer Archives via State Library SA. The black and white image of him for comparison is from 1972 at the inquest into the death of Dr George Duncan.

His coroners report is available online right now. Very interesting how they treat it, kind of like “not wasting any more resources on this man”

It was almost like the person you would never suspect and makes you wonder how many others were involved and if they are still alive today 🧐

SAPOL have their names. But in grand SA legal system tradition, they’ve fought hard to cover them up

From what I have read/heard SAPOL are just as frustrated as the general public are. They simply don't have enough evidence to conviction so are keeping their powder dry in case a breakthrough occurs.

He also happened to be there on the night Dr George Duncan died after being thrown into the Torrens by the police

Makes sense when you think about it but it’s still surreal seeing stuff like that in a way

Are you sure it's him? Or is it just some dude with sunglasses?
