Do your friends ask about your grief/loved one?
My mother passed away 2 years ago. My father passed when I was a child. I'm 34. My mom was everything to me.
I was shocked by how quickly people moved on after my mom passed. None of my friends did for me what I've seen in the movies: coming by with some food so I didn't have to cook, or offering to sleep over, even though I have close friends.
People asked about my mom and my grief early on, but just a few months later, it's as if it was forgotten.
No one asks how I'm doing with my mourning. No one asks about her. No one opens that door. It makes me feel uncared for, like a huge part of me does not exist for my friends.
Is it the same for you?
