I think I made a mistake
Got the dwc terra today and I bought just coz I thought it would be a unique piece in my collection.
I think it a bit too overhyped, but still CHEAP ASFFFFFF!!!!

Finally got my first watch, the Casio Edifice EFR-S108D with the blue dial, gifted to me by my friends!
Honestly, I'm loving it so far. The thing that surprised me most is how slim and lightweight it feels on the wrist. It slides easily under my sleeves, doesn't feel bulky, and sometimes I genuinely forget I'm even wearing a watch.
And that blue sunburst dial… absolutely beautiful. It looks different depending on how the light hits it, and the stainless steel case and bracelet complement it perfectly.
The sapphire crystal and 100 m water resistance are great bonuses too. I love how it manages to look sleek and classy without being overly flashy.
Since this is my first watch, it feels extra special knowing it was a gift from my friends. ❤️
What do you guys think of the EFR-S108D? And for those who've owned one for a while, how has it held up over time?

Recently, I’ve developed a real appreciation for rectangular "tank-style" watches. Since I wasn't entirely sure how much wrist time a rectangular case would get, I started looking for an affordable, quality option to try out the style before committing to higher price tiers.
I decided on the LIP Churchill T24 with the guilloché dial and Roman numerals, and I couldn't be happier with the choice! Here are my thoughts on this piece.
Dial & Aesthetics
The combination of Roman numerals and the intricate guilloché dial pattern looks gorgeous in person. Visually, it bears a striking resemblance to the classic Cartier Tank, giving it a truly timeless, high-end art-deco aesthetic that really catches the eye.
Fit & Size
With my 19.5 cm (7.5") wrist, finding a rectangular dress watch that doesn't look tiny can be a challenge. However, the T24’s dimensions wear absolutely perfectly. It retains classic proportions while having just the right amount of wrist presence.
Strap & Hardware Swap
The watch originally came on a black leather strap with an alligator print, which felt a bit too formal for my taste. To make it more versatile for daily wear, I swapped it for a textured brown leather strap. I also transferred the original signed LIP buckle over to the new strap, which keeps that nice factory touch while giving the watch a warmer, slightly more relaxed look.
Specifications:
Conclusion
For me, the LIP T24 perfectly fills the spot of a rectangular tank-style watch in my collection. At an RRP of €189, the price is fantastic—it delivers a beautifully made, visually stunning watch from a brand with rich horological history without breaking the bank.
What are your thoughts on this dial setup? Do you prefer these Roman numerals with the guilloché texture, or do you think the more common Art Deco Arabic numeral variant (see the last picture) suit the T24 design better? And what do you think of my choice to replace te strap, does it work for this watch?

I’ve been wearing watches since I was a kid but didn’t get into it til a friend gave me a Seiko SNK809 in 2019 (which costs less than $80 at the time brand new). I bought all of these watches gray market so they were under MSRP.
- My favorite daily watch is the Murph. Yes just like the others, I love Interstellar and most of Christopher Nolan’s work.
-The one I’ve worn the most recently is probably the purple Tsuyosa. I didn’t get why people liked the Tsuyosa so much until I got one 😂 I now recommend to people who want to buy their first automatic watch.
- The Mido is the boldest I’ll ever get on a textured dial, just wish they flipped the gradient from blue to black instead.
- The Longines is on an aftermarket bracelet. I’ve wanted this watch for years and got it on watchmaxx under MSRP.
- The G is the one I would grab if society collapsed tomorrow. No brainer during adverse weather, walking around crowded streets, doing work on my car etc.
Only have room for one more watch (I think). I’m a hobbyist astronomer and I’d like to be able to afford an Omega Speedmaster but in the smaller 39mm reduced version. I know it’s not the real moon watch reference but it’s close enough, 42mm is a bit large on my wrist.

Hello everyone! This will be my last post about my design submission for the Ixdao design competition.
I'm honestly surprised after the first two weeks of voting my design has shot up in the top 10 and I truly am honoured by you all that supported my idea.
Now, hear me out (please).
Did you really want:
-another green/blue iteration of some kind of geometric pattern? 🙅♂️
-another 37mm variant of a strong homage when, let’s face it, you have like 10 of them already? 😒
Maybe instead you’d put money towards:
-having a warrior in a larger dial size ✅
-a bolder, original design that references the company’s Chinese heritage ✅
-perhaps a limited edition that is both beautiful to look at but also functional to wear/tell time at a glance ✅
Basically, if you are all looking forward to have Ixdao make something unique with their warrior case then please vote for my design so it gets into the top 5 and into the second round of voting! 🗳️ 🐉 😆

Otherwise, I hope you vote for camphora or other unique designs like huangzu or toono.
Thank you everyone who took the time to do this!

Put the perpetual on a mesh strap and still can't work out whether I like it or not, so giving it a day to prove itself.

I need a new watch but I’m not a watch guy so no idea what brands to look at to narrow it down, it’s bewildering.
Budget would be say £100-300
Not a fashion brand, proper watch makes please.
Silicone/rubber strap only I think. Metal rips hairs and leather and canvas get a bit dirty/smelly.
Currently got a citizen eco drive, think it’s 42mm, I’d have just bought another of these if they still sold them, so something a bit like this would be good. Thanks!

The eternal dilemma...
An established Italian brand with almost a century of history.
A solid, reliable NH35 movement.
A very affordable price.
But the design is clearly inspired by—or copied from?—the Rolex Yacht-Master...
Can you appreciate it for what it is? After all, hardly anyone raises this issue with Sub-style divers. There are plenty of good, well-regarded options from all sorts of brands at every price point, and nobody seems too bothered by the resemblance to the Rolex.
Or does the whole “I want a Rolex but can’t afford one” feeling overshadow how attractive and enjoyable the watch might be in its own right?

For starters NONE of them list prices clearly. Dozens and dozens of nice Seiko and Citizen watches all laid out but not a single price tag in sight. That’s my main decision point you know? So anyway I mill around JC Penny and I see lots of nice G Shocks and then come across a square cabinet full of Clearance items. Great! That’s my sorta speed. I see a nice looking Citizen Eco that I later learned was a Weekender Chrono black on black with that nice blue ring . Ok so that’s a $360 or so watch new at retail with an inflated BS MSRP of like $450. Clearance price, not sale, clearance we wanna get rid of this thing price is $300 at JCP. That’s not even 20% off. Why bother with these games people!? I’m gonna stick to online I think it’s just not worth the hassle. Anyway rant over I apologize.

What do you all think of this piece for $143? Maurice Lacroix's are generally pretty pricey, but this is reasonable IMHO.

I bought this recently, and now I’m wondering if it looks like a women’s watch. Does it look good on me?

Blown away by this Henry Archer. I've always wanted a meteorite dial but nothing really caught my eye until I saw this one. The studio pictures on their site listing looked amazing but holy this thing is next level in person. Goes from super dark red to almost pink depending on the lighting and everything in between. Its on the higher end of affordable for me but 100% worth the price.

I got my first fluororubber strap watch. I climb pretty regularly this year, it's become one of my usual activities, so I was thinking about getting a watch I could wear every day but also take outdoors, but I've never really liked the whole super sporty watch look. So finally I found one that really makes me happy and I got it, I like how the dial stays clean with a fluororubber strap.
First time wearing tho, any tips please?
