important piece of knowledge for ignorant people:

islam doesn't forbid being gay, it forbids sodomy. islam acknowledges that some people naturally long for same sex relationships, however it forbids people from acting on those desires

so this khamenei guy would not face any problems in iran for "being gay", as long as he doesn't run outside naked screaming things like "YASSS KWEENNM GAY SEX GAY SEX" whatever

Also they were forcibly converting gay men to transexual through surgery in Iran…he kinda left that out for some reason.
