It's a rumor

Morality aside, what would even be the big deal if it were true? Oh no, she cost me $150 for her food and drinks and showed me her true colors. Bummer but I guess I’ll just have more leftovers?

$150 can be a lot to a high schooler and the way this sounds is like some high school BS, Who write things like "not so great person and said only MEAN things".

Imo too much food is never a problem.

Exactly. Like, i get that weddings are expensive and you don’t want to pay more than you reasonably have to. But if you’re being responsible and already budgeting for X amount of people being there, a single guest not showing up is sooooo not a problem (logistically). More fancy food for me…

This sounds like petty HS drama. Either invite her or don’t, but stop letting rumors and other people try to influence your decision like that. Stop paying attention to the rumor mill and just enjoy planning your wedding.

Anyone else thinking that OOP is the problem and the friend (and maybe even sister) was never actually the problem?

In case this story gets deleted/removed:
AITA if I disinvite my friend from my wedding?
Hi potato’s!
I need advice. I sent a save the date to an old friend that I had fallen out with after she apologized to me years later but now I’m rethinking it.
For some context, this friend had been my best friend for many years until her selfish and self serving behaviors lead us to go no contact. She then had a few kids and left the state. Years later when she moved back she reached out to me and apologized for how she had acted and said she wanted to be friends. Thinking that becoming a mother had helped her gain a new perspective I let her back into my life at arms length. We haven’t seen each other much since the apology but I decided to send her a save the date to my wedding. What I did not do is send her sister an invite who is a not so great person and has only said mean things to me over the years.
Onto the current issue, a mutual friend of mine and her sisters was told by the sister that my friend was planning on accepting our invitation to the wedding and then backing out the day before in solidarity with her sister who was not invited. This mutual friend can be trusted to tell me the truth but I don’t know if her mean sister is just making up a lie hoping it would get back to me or if this is just a petty plan between two terrible sisters. I am leaning towards they both suck and I should just not send out the invitation but should I contact her to see what’s up or just ghost the invite? Sorry for the ramble I just need advice.
