I cheated on my husband with his friend

My husband and I have struggled here and there. But mostly been good. We went away for a weekend to an off grid cottage with some friends. The same one we’ve been to many times. It was 3 couples and then his single friend. It was like any other weekend but my husband and I had been arguing the week leading up to it.

It was one of the days we go for a big off-road atv ride so we were all out enjoying having fun, we met up with a bunch of people. There’s quite a bit of alcohol going around and people get loud. I over heard my husband telling one of our other friends how I’m not fun anymore and I’m boring to be with in bed. It hurt because he hadn’t tried to touch me for a while.

Anyways day goes on and he’s just being a jerk to me. We get into a fight and he tells me to just ride with his friend (the single one). I agree and get on with him for the remainder of the day. He’s 6 years younger than me and basically like my husbands little brother. We chat as we are riding and I open up to him. He was sympathetic and listened. He validated me and made me feel heard.

When we got back to the meeting point at a different house he decided he wanted to go back to ours to get cleaned up and changed. He asked if I wanted to go with him or stay with my husband. I said I’d stay with my husband and then my husband interrupted and said for him to take me back. That hurt.

I went back with him and was upset. He did everything he could to cheer me up, he started complimenting me. I hadn’t been complimented in months…. I liked it. I was egging him on to continue.

When we got back and were inside my emotions got the better of me. I started crossing lines. Asking him specific questions about me like “do you think my butt looks good?” Stuff like that. It started snowballing. I invited him to feel me. He did.

We ended up having sex. We cleaned up and agreed not to speak of it. We went out seperate ways and nobody knows.

TLDR: my husband and I were fighting, I slept with his best friend because he gave me the attention I was craving.
