Are my conversions too low ?
I don’t run a freemium, it’s a hard paywall, my conversion to paying is 5%

5% with a hard paywall isn't bad at all, plenty of apps would kill for that. 12k new customers and only 735 subs though, that's a pretty steep dropoff. What's the price point? If it's high that could explain the gap.

4.99 monthly and 29.99 yearly
Would you say I need a better funnel or is it the price ?1

Can I A/B test well with revenuecat ?

If your paywall is made through Revenuecat then you can a/b test that there, pricing I believe is through AppStore connect. If you wanna ab test the onboarding or other features you can for example use posthog.

How much are you paying? What is your D30 ROAS?

What’s a D30 roas

u/Hayek5 6h ago
Are you scaling with ads? If yes ROAS is the return on your ad spend. So as an example if you invest $300 in ads and get $300 in revenue, then that’s a 1.0 ROAS.
The D30 relates to measuring the revenue during the first 30 days.

Thanks for explaining
No all my traffic is organic social media content1

Then I’d say the 5% is pretty decent. Have you done A/B tests on onboarding?
You could probably scale even more once you do ads. Since your social content seems to attract users I’d say that you could probably use some of them to try it out.
Let me know if you need help with anything!

Honestly, 5% doesn’t sound bad at all for a hard paywall. Those numbers look pretty good.

5% seems pretty decent to me, especially since you’re using a hard paywall. The revenue numbers look promising too.

Hi, where are you posting your promotional content? I'm a developer from mainland China, and I'm finding it really hard to reach users with my app. The REDnote platform we rely on has really strict limits - even my best posts only get around 3000 views and less than 100 likes or saves. As a result, I only have about a hundred users, which is really concerning for me 🥲

I’d say for a new (?) app (based on the graphs), getting 3,6k per month is very good start?
