Rule 2 does not apply within this post; non-Christians may make top-level comments.
All other rules apply.
If you want to ask about Trump, please first read some of these previous posts which give a sampling of what redditors think of him, his choices and his history:
"Do you think Trump is a Christian or do you think he is faking it?"
"Why does it appear a large amount of Christians have flocked to Donald Trump?"
"How could evangelicals have fallen for such an un-Christian figure like Trump?"
(and from pre-pandemic): "How can people claim to be Christians, yet support Donald Trump?"

Jesus Do you think Jesus was really as loving and kind as he is often depicted in modern media? Or was he more authoritative and stoic?
Yes, he healed people and performed signs and wonders in front of people. But if you yourself were, say, a regular Jew or even a gentile and had the chance to speak with him face to face and ask about what he's doing, do you think he'd give off a vibe of someone like Jesus in The Chosen: kind, loving, funny, etc? Or do you think he'd come off more as someone like an authority figure, making no room for jokes or laughs and just professing his Word and moving on to the next thing?

Christian life Is there something about your religion that you disagree with, that you feel most other Christians agree with?

If you're at an evangelist crusade/revival, and you accidentally injure yourself almost fatally, do they rush you to the front of the stage for instant healing? Or call an ambulance?

God's will Listening to Gods guidance
I asked God for a sign of a rainbow if I should follow through with reaching out to my ex boyfriend. I had been praying about it and reading my bible and communicating to him was something I felt God had been calling me to do and I got it the sign. When I texted, it completely backfired and I got zero response. I feel utterly embarrassed and stupid and questioning whether or not it was really God calling me to do this. Has anyone had a similar experience before and can you share some guidance on how it worked out for good? I feel so bad like I’ll never make it through this.

Marriage Need wisdom, handling very insecure and jealous wife.
First of all jealousy and insecurity are very tiresome but they both look cute at the beginning, how do you handle a wife with those tendencies? Biblical way? Need wisdom?

Im really worried and scared.
29f. I've been a Christian most of my life and was always told of the unforgivable sin. I heard a song on tiktok and it got jammed into my head I was singing it into my head and the lyrics are "Jesus Christ is Lord Jesus Christ is God" and the next line is "Why you flexin for the devil?" So my in my head without thinking it came out "Jesus Christ is Lord Jesus Christ is devil"... Now I'm terrified that I just did the unforgivable sin and scared I'm going to hell for it. Of course I don't believe he is AT ALL. I love God I'm a proud Christian I'm just really really terrified that I did the one thing I'm never supposed to do.

Death / Grief Afraid of the act of dying?
Disclaimer: I have already accepted Jesus and fully believe in Him and God.
I worry much less about what happens after death, but I do fear the day my body begins physically shutting down, or the "transition period" between living and dying.
Specifically being aware of my organs shutting down.
How do I reconcile with this?

Can I get some advice so I don't devolve into self-righteousness when someone tells me that I'm a loser for being just and moral?
I'm genuinely exhausted of relying on my hatred of the world to keep myself straight 😭

Would you let your child run inside a burning building?
Would you let your child run inside a burning building because you respect their "free will" even when you have the power to stop them?
Do you think letting them do that is more loving then to forcefully save them from running inside?
Many christian tell me God loves us so much that He gives us "free will" to either choose Him or not. Because if not, we would be like robots or puppets.
Do you think it is more loving to let us suffer forever rather than saving us?

Trinity Is it correct to say that the doctrine of the Trinity was developed after the New Testament books were written?
Note: I don't think that doctrinal development is a "bad thing". If the earliest Christians didn't hold to the doctrine of the Trinity as it is defined in the Nicene Creed, I don't think it means the Nicene Creed is wrong or bad theology.

How could I (in theory) make a sci-fi setting after the second coming of Christ.
Like I like building spaceships, and I'd kinda like a sci fi setting where its situated after the second coming. Where like a faction of Humans led by demons (ish, where they worship demons) fight against other Humans that regret their actions to not follow Christ. I'm just wondering how I should go about this. I'm fine with being a bit more lenient on accuracy, if this is the wrong sub to ask, please refer me to a sub that would answer it.

Raised Christian is accepting what you're taught actually believing it?
I was born and raised Christian. Family, society, everyone around me, same religion. I accepted it and lived it. Not because I proved it, but because it was my environment, my bloodline.
Three things I can't stop thinking about:
Accepting ≠ believing. I accepted Christianity before I could analyze it. That's inheritance, not belief. Most people who say "I'm Christian" really mean "I was raised Christian and never seriously questioned it." Is that a label or a conviction?
The second-source problem. If God exists and wants us to know him, the first source should be God himself, direct, available to everyone. Instead I got second sources: parents, culture, pastors, a human-transmitted book. Did we set the first source aside and accept the second sources instead ,hiding behind them because proving it directly is harder?
What would you do? If you reached the age where you can actually analyze, and realized you never chose this yourself, what do you do? Stay and examine? Test it against the strongest counterarguments? How do you tell "I believe this" from "I'm afraid to leave this"?
I'm not trying to dunk on anyone's faith. I'm trying to figure out if mine was ever actually mine.

If rape victims were victims of people tied to religion, and they seperated themselves from the belief, is it hell they go?
Weird question, but I couldn't find this scenerio in the bible. Last time I left at Judges.

reading bible
hey yall, got a question, is it okay to read the bible and not heavily study it. i'd love to spend time throughout the day just reading it while also setting in a time to study it. i love to read in general and find it hard to pick the bible up, knowing a lot of brain energy goes in to actually studying it

All our sins are forgiven by the blood of Jesus on the cross, the whole world is forgiven
Every time I mention this, which is the true gospel, I get thumbs down...and I wonder, are they from Christians?
There is no forgiveness without blood. And yes, the whole world is forgiven but one sin remains, the unforgivable sin: unbelief
And I have noticed that every time the bible talks about the sin of unbelief, it is referring to "believers", people who say they believe in God (Christians) but the bible warns us that they actually don't believe when they do all these manmade traditions and dead works in order to get forgiveness...they don't believe the blood of Christ wiped out all our sins and for this reason they remain as unbelievers and don't get sealed with the Holy Spirit which is salvation.
Are you the type of Christian who don't know the gospel, who still thinks we have to stop sinning or else we go to hell? the one that rejects we are saved just by believing that Jesus paid for our sins on the cross, and once we are sealed due to our faith (ephesians1:13-14) we never lose salvation?
If you don't believe in anything I mentioned above then you don't know what sin is, you don't know the gospel, you don't have faith...and probably you are not saved...yet.
Salvation is so simple because it is 100% works of God and 0% works from us but this becomes a stumbling stone for many and for this reason the road is narrow.
So my question is, are you the Christian who believes the truth (all our sins are fully forgiven by God and He is our Savior) or the Christian who rejects the truth (those who believe we must follow the law/do good works to be saved)?

Word of knowledge?
Has anyone of you or someone trustworthy that spoke to you, ever experienced this gift from someone? And I am talking knowledge the other person had like something specific and unexplainable that it is either a ultra-rare coincidence or supernatural?
