Physician Responded 24 yr old female extreme menstrual pain.

I’m suddenly getting very intense and sharp pains to the point I can barely walk. I have had a decidual cast before when I was 17 alone at home. Kind of worried this is that again. It’s only been second day of my period and this is the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I’ve never really had a normal period.

Gyn doc here. If there’s any chance that you might be pregnant you should do a pregnancy test. If you’ve haven’t tried a heating pad and max doses of ibuprofen or naproxen, that could help. Could be a cast or if pain is one sided I would wonder about an ovarian cyst. I’m so sorry you’re having this much misery. Seek care if you’re not getting any relief or if a pregnancy test is done and it’s positive. I hope you get relief soon.
