[Gumball] Why did Larry decide to take on so many jobs for the Wattersons?

IIRC, it was stated that the reason Larry has so many jobs(leading to him singlehandedly upholding the entire economic structure of Elmore) to pay for all the damages and chaos caused by the Watterson family, but why? They never asked him to do it, and he can't stand them anyway, so why take on such a massive workload to clean up their messes?

IIRC, it was stated that the reason Larry has so many jobs [is] to pay for all the damages and chaos caused by the Watterson family

I don’t remember that at all. That seems very unlike him.

This was what was stated in the end of Season 2, fittingly dubbed "The Finale".

Larry keeps getting shit work contracts that boil down to "the on-shift employee will be held responsible for any and all damage to [Company] property."

The Wattersons come in and knock down a wall? Larry has to pay for that. The Wattersons come in and destroy rental equipment? Larry has to pay for that. The Wattersons steal a bunch of merch? Larry has to pay for that.

He doesn't want to. He's contractually obligated to.

In "The Pizza", it turns out Larry is the only person doing all the small time jobs in Elmore. Every other Adult is a either a Teacher, or cooperate slave (and that one Donut Police Officer), so when he stops working, it caused an economic crisis

Isn't he in debt to Richard from when he dethrowned him as the laziest person in town.
